- This D.I.Y. video details how to clean your ac inside your house without removing the coil. A dirty evaporator coil will make your AC unit less efficient thus giving you a higher electric bill. Save hundreds of dollars in electicity and by doing it yourself. Contains unique ideas most AC professionals don't know.
This is a true do it yourself video!
As an added bonus we will also share a word of encouragement with you about what the Lord has done for you and I.
my coils are at the top of the unit but, that dog grooming brush was a beautiful idea. I will try this in a couple of days. On another note, I'm not a christian, heck, I'm not religious at all but, I do appreciate the thoughtful message. Peace to you brother and thank you for the tutorial.
Yeah it was so incredible he probably bent half the fins on that coil 😂there's no way around cleaning a coil inside. If you keep and change your filters this won't happen.
I used this method and I can say it actually work very well!! I used the dog brush on a dry evaporator first with card board underneath,a lot of dry dirt came out to my amazement, then used two cans with attached spray straw’s to get the foam cleaner deep inside coils, instructions on cleaner say assemble everything back ,then turn system on so the condensation will finish cleaning an rinsing the coil, after a couple of days I noticed my air was coming out colder an colder with each passing day. It’s 103degree ‘s out side here in Waco ,Tx. an i have my thermostat set at 74 ,it also doesn’t stay on constantly, it reaches its setting an cuts off like it should,this method work better than one I used 5yrs ago ware I put a plastic tub underneath the system an did a water flush , to time consuming an messy, the inside unit feels like a refrigerator cold to the touch something it didn’t do for along time ,the system is 17 yrs old,I think the second can used made the difference!!! Try it! You have nothing to lose!! A service call for the same method will run you about $200.00 ,more if they are outmanned by other customer demand when it already hot out side ,i used this method at the beginning of April , that’s the best time think about any kind of self service on any air condition system!!
@@johnabalos1455 yeah, it didn't work out for me. Turns out the whole unit was cat hair and black mold and needed to be replaced.

Ours is up higher and the tin plate between the two coils was removable. I got in there with a flashlight,decent plastic tip vacuum and used a Toothbrush. It all came off nice and easy. A lot of hair(long & Short, women & cats). Then compressed air carefully through the coils from the inside out to finish it all off. Works great now with no mess or praying needed.
Was just quoted 2700 for them to do this. Craziness! We will try this tonight, thank you so much for spreading the word of God! Very refreshing surprise
Came for the coil cleaning, but left with a prayer. I'm a former Christian, I even called myself a "recovered Christian" as if it were some kind of addiction or disease. But I never stopped believing in "something" I just had a very bad relationship with a very evil new pastor that came to my church and turned many, many people away. So I gave the prayer for god to reveal himself in a tangible way, a try. I'm getting to be in a very sad and desperate situation here and I am absolutely screaming for help on the inside because I have to be strong on the outside. I need something to prove that this existence on this earth means more than being born, educated, work, and die. This can't all be for nothing, can it?
Hi Kyle, Thank you from your sincere comment. Sorry for the slow reply. I can surely see how you have felt let down by those who claim to know God in your past. First comment I might make is the “evil new pastor” is only a man, not God, and is subject to the same sins and temptations we all are. The bible even says in the book of Jude, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions” (Jude 1:18). You might want to go and read the whole book of Jude to gain a better understanding of this person who has hurt you in the past. I also find it is very healing for us to pray for that person, not that God would punish them, but that God would bring blessing and spiritual understanding to them. At the same time pray your forgiveness toward that person who hurt you especially since Jesus had so much forgiveness towards us we should likewise have the same forgiveness towards others. Lastly I might add, throughout our whole lives we are in a spiritual battle against a spiritual enemy, Satan, “the thief who comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10). In your situation it sounds like Satan has used this person to “steal” your joy and erode your faith. Once you begin to recognize this spiritual attack from your enemy Satan, you will find he mostly attacks us in our thought life. You can use “The Name of Jesus” to do spiritual warfare against him (John 14:13). For example, when one of those condemning thoughts enter your mind simply pray “I don’t receive that thought in the Name of Jesus, Satan you be gone from my mind and my presence in the Name of Jesus”. You will find this pattern will repeat itself regularly at first as Satan tries to hold on, but you serve a living God who is all powerful and He will be there with you as you conquer over the evil one and you will notice those condemning thoughts will go away. Love you brother, stay strong in the love of Jesus.

My ac is throwing out some awful smell so i couldn't sleep last night and this morning i felt sick with a headache because of the smell so i stayed home. So your video helped alot. You need to clean the inlet of the evap where the air passes through above the filter. That’s where the majority of dirt is truly accumulated on the evap. I’d recommend using that foam spray on the underside for maximum cleaning

Thanks for helping me clean coils. Some companies wanted 500 to clean, I was like no man I'm a single mom w 2 jobs, not BC I wanna work like a crazy person.
Mandy Watson did this work for you? I live in San Antonio, TX and three different companies quoted me $1,050. My coils are in the closet not the attic, and easily reached.

The design makes this AC a possible alternative to ductless DYI systems. It works great. The remote control could be more visual aid oriented like a backligh design. Follow mfg instructions for care and all and this should be the only AC you need for those of is that don't live in new homes with central AC

Great video an AC technician wanted $850 for cleaning the coils and blower and install a UV light to kill mold/ virus.

Thanks, glad it helped. BTW, the UV lights used to be $45 on ebay / Amazon 6 weeks ago, a week later they went to $90 and the last I checked you couldn't find one. The UV light works for covid 19.

You can talk them down in price...I live in Corpus Christi, Texas and received an estimate that was for 360 dollars for A/C cleaning. After speaking to the owner, was able to get the same estimate work reduced in price to 210 dollars. Just ask them for the step by step of what you are getting and then pick away at it. Most (not all) service companies rely on the consumer NOT knowing what to ask and how to Jew the service company down. Worked for me, and will work for you too. “Praise Jeeeeeeeeeeeesus!”

I should've watched this before. May not have helped because my blower is below my unit. I'm sure I got water everywhere! But thank God for the living water, may it get everywhere.

OK.... as a Christian musician, many summers I've worked in the AC/refrigeration trade during couple slow month with a Deacon in my church that has a nice business. Certainly as a ham radio operator I quickly understood the electrical theory as a piece of cake , then refrigerant circuits. Somehow, this video arrived in rotation and I took the time to watch it. Certainly your detailed tutorial for the laity to service their own equipment is great! Yet what really is most beautiful is your outward credible profession of Faith, and how you proclaimed the Gospel, evangelizing with fitting explanation and connection beyond cue-cards of standard E.E. Hi thanks for the information. Is using a hose absolutely necessary ive seen other videos where the cleaner is applied then just vacuumed out with wet dry vac.
I would follow the instructions on the can of cleaner. As for me I feel the hose helps break up deposits deep inside the coil yet this is my opinion. Thanks for the comment.
