    I have a bn20 and I’m struggling on how to get the versaworks to print and cut my artwork that I do on Adobe so far you been the only one who explains a whole lot better if you can show and explain how you connect Adobe illustrator and versaworks together that would be awesome

      I had trouble as well! She does a really good job explaining. After you finish doing this to your file make sure you save it as a .eps and then you should be able to open it in versaworks. One thing I wanted to mention is that you can’t just add the magenta color as the cut line. You gotta actually add a new swatch make it magenta color, spot color, and name it CutContour and then the machine will register it as a cut line and not something to print. Let me know if you have any questions. I wasted a whole day trying to figure this out and I found out through other youtube videos as well.

      @@brgames4240 thank you so much for the info I have tried to still print it out put only the art board would want to cut instead around my design on versa works. I only had the bn20 for a week and took me 2 days to understand the installments and I’ve seen other people have plug ins for Adobe like Roland cut and studios which does not even recognized the bn20 I don’t know 🤷🏽‍♀️ if it’s because it has not been updated to the newer versions or it not for the bn20. I see that she has the Roland with Adobe next to her art tools part as the Adobe would that make it easier ? You would think they would make system more easier to print and cut if your can help me please 😭

      @@dede96265 so I don't connect Illustrator to Versaworks (VW), I have the VW swatches saved in Illustrator. I save all of my files as EPS then have to upload them in VW. There's no way to send from Illustrator to VW, I wish there was it would be SO much easier. Have you downloaded the VW swatch files to your computer and uploaded them to Illustrator?

    Hi I am a new roland bn 20 user I was wondering if you had a video on how you add multiple files to versa works to print and cut all at once. And how do you size the design to 10 inches. Thanks in advance for your help. Your videos is the only videos and that makes it easy to work along too.

      Double click the file while in VW. It will open up the Job Settings and from there on the left, make sure you're in Layout. In the scaling section make it the size you're needing. If you have numerous files that need scaled you can select all or select individually. I like to nest everything and center to media when I print, it helps to make everything easier to cut out.

      I always prep my files in my design software and will usually 'gang' them on one sheet, all sized to my needs. I hardly ever resize in the Versaworks program but that is possible

    Do you have your Roland bn20 connect to your Mac? I was told I have to use PC and it’s slowing me down. All my images are on my mac. Just got my bn20 this week

    • @MMandCoPrintshop
      @MMandCoPrintshop  Před 2 lety

      No I don't. Versaworks is compatible with windows only. I design on my Mac and print from my Windows laptop.

    Hi im how do you de select the small dots when i press shift and click outline nothing happens

    • @MMandCoPrintshop
      @MMandCoPrintshop  Před 2 lety

      Hi! I highlight the entire design then deselect the outline (the cut line I want to keep). That should keep those tiny dots selected, then I delete.

      @MMandCoPrintshop  Před 2 lety

      After tracing, ungroup, select the background and delete. If you're bg won't delete you prob need to ungroup again.It should be really simple to remove the background once traced (video time: 1:09)

      from a PNG file? There's a few ways! But usually when you image trace you can delete the background then.
