@@LouisGedo 👍👍
I love it when the sequel is as great as the original. 👍
I'm glad you enjoyed it Terence, thanks for the comment
This is a really interesting update to the original video. Very good research work, I do think it is the rosine error listed in the stamp book. So nice to see you had another one in your collection! :)
Both were lovely to find and I agree I'm certain it is the rosine error which is listed online.
I find the black marks on the back equally as intriguing as the errors on the front. 🍺
Looks like Dean Smith is on his way 👍👍
Thanks for sharing 🎉❤
Thanks for watching and commenting
I'm guessing but the dark fibers if looked at under magnification will be found to be something I have seen b4. the old black holders or sheets that were paper with a plastic cover sometimes had stamps stick to the paper and leave a few fibers.
yes, the same black paper was also used in old postcard albums
That's exactly what they are John thanks for the sleuthing 👍👍
Great to see the update on this. Now you'll need to check a mini sheet against a regular sheet to see if it is just a missing colour. Were mini sheets printed by the same company as the regular stamps? A missing colour would not explain the yellow paper, I don't think adding a red layer will suddenly make the stamp whiter? Is it a double error? Yellow paper with missing colour?
I have examples of double errors, my favourite being baby smoking cigar with a register error that makes it look out of focus.
You know it could be a double error as you say, yellow paper and missing colour. I've got another interesting colour error coming up as soon as I get time to do it
If you look at the ladies skirts at the bottom of the error stamp you will see the orange is missing.
Indeed it is 🙂
The orange on your stamp looks darker than the minisheet showing the error, also the dark fibres on the back could be where it was stuck to a black album page or stock card.
The orange on my stamp is darker than on the minisheet, it's yellow on the minisheet but that was the closest I could find to the error I have. The fibre are indeed where it was stuck to a black album page or stock card
Very nice stamps
Super
Thanks
Found a possible S.G. 758c , looks legit. Sent digital photos of it to various rare stamp auction places and received recommendations to either send to Brandon or S.G. The cost is high regardless of outcome.
Wow, fingers crossed it's legit as that would be a great find. I've found a few colour errors recently, and have contacted S.G. - no response. I've checked out Brandon and their prices and agree, the cost is high. What's the alternative
Not sure, they seem to have a lock on any rare stamp valuation before it's considered for auction.
I wonder if it would be useful to compare a complete souvenir sheet to the error listed on that website.
I have the mini sheet of the 4 stamps, it doesn't contain any of the errors that were on that sheet listed online
The blue shirt and jacket are duller blue, so it seems like the paper is wrong and it affects the ink?
