no, i still prefer Kovach, his raspy performance added to Angel Dust's sarcasm alot. if this was his singing voice then sure. i would understand but this as his voice ALL the time... just doesn't match the character in my opinion. and now i'm enjoying Digital Circus because Jax is literlly just pilot Angel Dust with a rabbit reskin. and its still funny

Oh no, they got rid of Micheal completely? I had assumed Blake was going to do the singing voice and Micheal would do the talking. I'm a little disappointed since I adored the character the original actor brought to Angel, but hopefully Blake can bring the same sarcastic vibes.

Vivzipop said that Huskerdust was a slowburn, so i imagine that once/if they actually start having romantic tension, Anthony (I say Anthony instead of Angel because Angel clearly is just a character hes playing while Anthony is his true self) would sing this song once he realized he was in love with Husk and how diffrent he is from the people he has to film with. I wonder if he actually wrote it with Angel Dust in mind. We don't know exactly when they got re-cast I don't think and Blake released the song in June of 2021. If not then that's a weird coincidence and he was really made for Angel Dust.

I hardly heard a difference in some parts. Even though I loved the og, this is a really good actor, hoping this break through role brings more for Blake.
His voice is definitely a lot more flexible than Michael Kovach's. It's also much smoother and less crackly and pitchy, which I love!!! Those are the differences I noticed.
I told myself I wouldn't obsess over this show like I did when the pilot came out but oh... oh my god... if Angel drops a song with these absolutely heavenly vocals I get a feeling I won't be able to think about anything else

I really really hope that the first scene with angel is just him in a nightclub giving all he can against a microphone and a room full of deviants with daggers for eyes. This kind of sultry soft voice is both alluring and entrapped, with an overall feeling of desperation, and even though this song was not sung with that in mind, I think it suits angel really well
Like, imagine he sings this in a club full of demons and sinners who could care less, who just want to take advantage of him while he's singing in a vulnerable moment, then Charlie enters the room while scouting for potential hazbin residents and sees that there's something more to him than what everyone else is saying. Then, later on in the series, it gets reprised but in a different light once he finds some genuine affection with husk. I'm going to be honest, I don't like husker as a character, I think the name is dumb, he's overdesigned, and is very cliché, but I could be swayed if his connection to angel breaks through his walls and touches his heart enough to reprise this song to him. Husk really depends on how he bounces off the other character dynamics, I wasn't impressed with his character in the pilot.
