I remember creating Chris Jericho using formulas I found on the internet back in the day after he returned. There were some great Caws for 08. The last good SvR in my opinion I really miss Season Mode.

SvR 2008 is one of my all time favorite WWE games
In 2007. Svr 2008 was the last game to have Randy Orton's old burn my light theme.
Then when svr 2009 came out next year in 2008. Orton's changed his theme to voices.
Since then the voices theme has been with randy forever.
you know you can just use his old theme on svr 09 10 11 by making a playlist on xbox

It's good but man the time period and roster just felt so cold, svr 2007 still is the best. However svr 2008 is still real fun to play.

My favorite thing about this game was the environmental grapple with the ring and weapons But I always felt there was a lot of missing things in the game rather be thumb tacks barbed wire match or barbwire table but also missing ECW legends
2008 and 2009 have the best gameplay out of any wwe video games in my opinion.

Aside from the BEAUTIFUL SATISFYING Xbox 360 graphics the game was just amazing
Copped this at gamecrazy back in the day for my PS2 knowing nothing about wrestling. Best fucking decision a 12 yo could make 😤
The whole vibe felt so different from the other games and more badass, probably due to the emphasis on ECW.
Legendary difficulty with cena vs hhh and undertaker match for the wwe belt, my god the level of fun and real life match i have that night was superb. Best wwe game.
This is in my top 5 favourite games of all time (my favorite game of all time is SVR 07)

Angle was the most broken character in the game besides khali because it was physically impossible to pick him unless u create a ultra heavyweight

Yes sir. Granted I had the PlayStation 2 version of this game I don't think it was too different at that time. but the fact that ECW was in this game and I can play at some of those legends just made my day cuz I was always a huge ECW fan. I need sandman the world heavyweight Champion and he dominated.
Still my personal favourite of the Smackdown Vs. Raw games.
The Joey Styles/Tazz commentary never gets old.
Minus 24/7 mode and the somewhat Limited Movesets, This game is a pretty decent game.

Smackdown vs RAW 2008 is my favorite game I loved playing on it on PSP the roster was amazing i love The Road To WrestleMania mode it was incredible and I’m thinking about getting a PSP and play it all over again
But the console counter parts are way better tho

If this game had 07s roster and DLC for a few other legends it would have been the goat.
07 and 06s Midcard roster was crap. I think 08 had the better overall roster but 07 and 06 did have Chris Jericho Christian Chris Benoit Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero. It
You can mod the 07 and 06 wrestlers into 08.

Hey yo hopefully they bring back these amazing features in Wwe2k21 from Smackdown vs Raw 2008.
I remember even having fun just customizing characters
I never bothered drafting in GM mode, the roster was too small that everyone I wanted was already taken, so I just left the roster as is and traded for superstars that I wanted.
I love to eat chicken noodle soup while watching your vids

Definitely my favorite wrestling game since HCTP and DOR.

I bought svr 08 yesterday but I was supposed to get svr 09 now all I have to wait is just a controllers at Monday

The game is extremely easy.. I bet no one in the comments has lost a single one on one match before.. reversing is easy, and the A.I. barley uses finishers, they always save it to use their ability..
I did the hall of fame thing but i i think i left the General maneger challenge that i have to be the Gm of the year lol

minus a smaller roster and a slower speed, the game modes had more focus put on it than 2009-2011. if 2009 is a perfected version of the later game system, 2008 is a lesser version of the 2007 system

Smackdown vs RAW 2006 and 2011 were miles better than 2008. I view 08 as one of the weakest in the SvR lineup. The fighting styles were limiting and unbalanced. And it suffers from having one of the weakest rosters. Other than the ECW stars and style, nothing else was brought to the table with this game. Soundtrack was good though.
Why everyone underestimate this game Like seriously Yes this game wasn't the best in SVR series but sure as hell not the weakest SVR 2009 was the weakest SVR game in the series
@@nirmalcena5249 I can't speak for everyone, but I just gave the reasons I believe 2008 is the weakest game in the SvR series. I prefer 09 over 08. I like the changes made to the Tag Team wrestling game mechanics that 09 brought, giving the person on the apron more to do. Plus the added feature of hot tags. The little details.
@@courtjester9678 but 2009 literally delete gm mode, season mode (rtwm is another mode) the career mode is the weakeas on the series they delete the parking the crownd area the burn in my liight theme of randy was gone ok thats a bad point i gotta say haah but for me 2008 have more replay than 2009 like here take rtwm and some tag team details and gone what you want stone cold why you got jesse festus (deletus sorry i have to make the joke) and the fucking jimmy yang wang
WWF wrestlemania 2000, wwf no mercy and smackdown vs raw 2008. Control figuration was better and easier, they should be rebooted . They should make the original xbox black and green first xbox anniversary.

Too bad the roster is too small and the ai is too easy to beat... this could have been a really great game... if i remember correctly, you cant add CAWs in 24/7 superstar career mode..

This game was a mixed bag for me. A lot of my favorite wrestlers were missing, and I was never into ECW, so there wasn’t much interest for me in terms of the roster. While the fighting styles made gameplay interesting and fresh, they were also limiting, as certain wrestlers didn’t have access to specific moves they were typically known for. 24/7 was crap-all I have to say about that. GM mode was a good inclusion but again, because of the thin roster, it didn’t feel as immersive, although the training aspect was a cool concept. All in all, it was ok, but not great.

Excluding Buried Alive, I'm pretty sure WWE 2K still has majority of these features, too... You go on about fighting styles, as if that's exclusive to this game, but WWE 2K still has different types of wrestling styles, too; Powerhouse, Giants, Strikers, Technicians, and Cruiserweight... And that Ultimate Control shit, whichever SvR it was, WWE 2K also has that, but much better with it's Lift and Carry System that allows you to perform finishes from any Carry position - THAT'S AWESOME... However, I just don't see the hype for this game.
