WHAT IS RHODES TOWN & LINDOS IN GREECE LIKE ?

- 🇬🇷WE TRAVELLED TO RHODES ISLAND IN GREECE FOR 4 NIGHTS AND 5 DAYS AT THE BEGINNING OF APRIL 2023 - WE STAYED IN RHODES TOWN AT THE MITSIS GRAND HOTEL AND TOOK A DAY TRIP TO LINDOS AND PACKED IN LOTS MORE IN AND AROUND THE NEW AND OLD TOWN OF RHODES DURING OUR STAY 🇬🇷
I booked a package deal through Easyjet from Bristol to Rhodes last year for 4 nights at the 5* Mitsis Grand hotel near Elli beach in Rhodes town. For flights, bags, transfers and all inclusive hotel it costs me around £750 for myself and my 13 year old son (i booked last year) - we dont normally opt for all inclusive but the cost was too good to miss and meant i saved money. We absolutely loved this trip and really want to go back in the warmer months so we can island hop and expreience swimming in beautiful Lindos and walking around the old town at night....we will be back one day
Day 1& 2...
We arrived around 2.15pm at our hotel and as we had been awake since 3am and haven't eaten much, we dropped our bags off in our room then went downstaires to eat lunch at the buffet restaurant - it was very good and the staff really friendly and helpful but it was only only time we ate lunch there as we were out and about exploring during the day.
After setteling into our room, we freshend up and went for a walk along Elli beach and ended up at the prettiest beach bar i've ever seen - Ronda Beach Bar. It was around 4pm and it felt really warm but just an hour or so later, we did feel the chill. We both had amazing cocktails there which came to 20 Euros for them both. We walked back to the hotel, had our evenng meal then went to bed.
Next day, we caught a bus from outside of our hotel that took us to Lindos around an hour and 15 mins drive away. I had pre booked the bus trip through Get Your Guide the night before and we had around 4 hours of exploring before heading back to Rhodes. Lindos was very quiet and shops and bars were just getting ready for the season ahead - we loved exploring the narrow cobbled streets and walking up to the Acropolis. I would love to come back here and swim in the bays in warmer weather, it looked beatiful. We arrived back at our hotel around 4pm then an hour or so later, went for a walk into the old town which was around a 15 min easy flat walk away. We walked to the Streets Of The Knights and we were the only ones there! It was so beautiful - i couldn't wait to go back again the next day as unfortunitely my son felt sick so we made our way back to the hotel for an early night.

going to rhodes in less than 2 weeks for 5 nights. cant wait for more heat and of course the cats! first time in greece, excited😁
Aw I hope you have a wonderful time, tye weather will be really lovely and it’ll be busy but nowhere near what it’ll be like in the summer months so perfect timing. Greece is an amazing country, great good, beaches, history and of course the people and cats lol too x

Thank you 😊 we’ll I have a solo trip booked for Crete in a few months but my youngest son really wants to come again so I might have to change it - we’ll see. I’ve just filmed a day out in a popular tourist spot near where I live so that will be up soon too plus, I have Venice videos to edit. Xx

I used to live in Lindos! It's nice time to go before the crowds arrive. The guy who owns captains house is lovely. Love Rhonda Beach Bar.
We really loved exploring the village and would love to go back more in season for a swim in the sea. Yes captains bar was really nice with nice friendly staff, great service! X

Looking at Rhodes for end Oct anyone know what the weather will be like then?
I’d imagine similar to when we went to Parga last October - warm during the day and warm sea but could be a little chilly at night. It was 25 degrees at the start of October but Rhodes is likely to be a bit warmer. There’s the chance of of rain but if it does happen, it’s usually very heavy but quick and back to sunshine again. I’m looking at going back end of October too so I can island hop to Symi and float around in the sea! Both things we couldn’t do this time

Yes I know , the same in Santorini too and other islands. It breaks my heart to know they are used to carry people up and down steep hills 😥
