- Five-seed Kris Prather went up against 12 seed Brad Miller in the round of 16 of the PBA Playoffs. After taking both games in the match, Prather had a couple of open frames but advanced to the round of eight.

I like miller. I’m new to bowling in general, but I find myself rooting for him for some reason. The whole bunch of guys are stand up. I like the house bowling channel
@@samc2649 You clearly haven't been following his career. I think this is the best Brad has ever been and he's showing more and more signs of improvement. He used to beat himself up after every bad performance. But this year after their poor performance in the doubles, Kyle actually won his very first singles PBA title(non-regional) and Brad has appeared on TV two weeks in a row and almost made it 3(two weeks prior)!
Brad is an excellent bowler. To be in top 16 is a great accomplishment. Jack Nicklaus was always admired for his mental game to golf. Physical skills among top golfers were not much different. Brad is a very good bowler but in Masters and this playoff he left 9 frame open. He killed in Masters last week 4 for 3 playoff. Led the group in score. Maybe what would help Brad is a sports psychologist to excel in the mental aspect of the game, because he has proven he definitely has the physical game.
editing is a great skill and all but why would you leave out Brads first game 10th frame. that was a pretty big moment with no explanation as to how he ended at 205?
These two guys are two of my favorite bowlers so it's hard to decide who to root for. But to be honest, Shark Prather is a more accomplished player who has won the big one more than once, while Brad is still trying to take that first step. Not shocked at how it turned out.

Prathers experience was the difference maker in this match. I really wanted Brad to pull it off, he was so close. I wish these guys would ball down and move right, sometimes straighter is greater. Plus it opens up the lanes to move left again with confidence you can still carry the pocket. Easy for me to say I'm a league bowler with no tournament experience, but I do love this sport...🎳
The only issue with that is weaker balls sometimes hook more when in the presence of friction since they don't burn any energy, so they'd have to throw it a lot harder which is not easy to maintain throughout a whole match

KP has always thrown from deep. Before college and certainly before he went pro. His mentality is the biggest thing he changed since back in the day
@@gavinwinkler1147 That's exactly why I personally never carry weaker pieces in my bag. They've always been over/under for me. Depending on the ball, I'll sometimes just put a light polish on my stronger symmetrical solids and the reaction is way more consistent. Blends out the pattern way better.

Getting ready to retire and we plan on seeing our favorite baseball and hockey team play in every other stadium. Been following Miller on CZcams and decided to add going to these tournaments on our journey.

Brad can't seem to get over the 9th frame. It got him in the Masters and it got him here. Eventually he will figure it out.

The PBA website has the other side of the bracket bowling on FS1 tonight at 5pm. Is this only regional coverage? I'm in the Chicago area and I see an MLB game listed by me. That's horrible! I have to watch the METS instead of the PBA Kia Playoffs???

Fellow commenter, please spread the news that if you wish to not be spoiled in the title you must not engage with those videos. That includes commenting discontent with the title. Any engagement on a video is a positive for the youtube algorithm. So like and comment on the videos that are presented in the way you prefer.

Brad has been doing much better this year. What has been keeping him back is his mindset. He almost made the show 2 weeks ago, last week he took 3rd place in the MASTERS and this week made it to yet an other TV show in the playoffs. I'm very proud of the results he's produced lately.
sure he has some good finishes, but in bowling nobody really cares how good you place at events, they care about how many titles/majors you have...and for someone who's been in the pba for 10 years, well...
Not really. "Choking" is when you should win, but the moment gets too big for you and you fail. Brad is getting better and better, as evidenced by his recent TV appearances. But Prather is a multi-time major winner who has faced down guys like Belmo, Simo, O'Neal, Jasper, etc, and beaten them all. He's really one of the best bowlers on the planet now. So for Brad to fail against Prather was not a choke job. He just got beat by a better bowler. Those not-very-good shots Brad made in the 9th and 10th frame of the second game? Those were just shots where despair got the better of him. He was down by 25 with Prather on a strike. So even if he pured 4 shots to strike out, Prather only needed a spare to beat him. So the match was pretty much over at that point.
