  • Connolly station opened in 1844 with a temp terminus at the royal canal with initial trains to Drogheda . the line was extended to Belfast in 1853 . In 1891 the city of Dublin junction railway opened a separate st3called Amiens street junction. Broadstone station closed in 1937 and services were redirected to Pearse station via amiens junction. By 1950's the two stations were merged into one In 1973 services to Galway & Mayo were transferred to Heuston station. In 1984 the DART was opened the old amiens street junction station was refurbished and opened it closed in the station upgrade 20 years ago . Luas red line was opened in 2004.
