YESYESYES to other crew members thinking you only do the shows and hardly to anything else. I remember explaining the audition process to someone before and they had no idea how gruelling it is to even get the job. They just thought it was like a 10 minute job interview. We used to do 'getting know the cast' in the theatre for the guests to ask questions, it included a video of the casting team talking about casting and how specific it is and even guests were surprised. I actually have a funny story, my mum thought the other day that all the performers, singers, lounge singers on the ship are all cast by the same people. NO, the cast is SO separate from the entertainers. I have been doing ships for 5 years and only she just found that out.

Loved this vid and can't wait to see another of your ship tours. I was in the Navy/Coast Guard for 20 years and 10 of those onboard ship. Seems like a lot of the things you were saying about diff departments dont know what each other do and it is the same exact thing in the military. Engineering folks think they work the hardest and are the most important while the intel folks get maybe 5 hours sleep a night and they all think their job is the hardest. Soo excited for your future vids!

that makes me so happy, thank you! 🥹 there really aren’t any!! royal has so many shows that the heights range so much. typically 270 & aqua shows are casted for shorter/average height performers and theater casts can often be a lot taller (I dance with girls over 6 ft) so it really depends!

Have you ever seen someone go to a Royal musical audition and then get cast in Royals regular dancer shows? I was just at the hairspray audition!

I made it through my audition (I did the hip hop one) and we did some technique across the floor as well. After the audition was over we had our photos taken and filled out some forms. So now what? Do I just wait to hear from them?
Yes! the same happened to me & i found out about 5 months later:)
Also do me favor please. Theres a beautiful girl Djullia who managed the Bionic Bar and she really helped me when my dad was sick and I had to fly back from Adelaide. (She will remember trust me!) He survived the operation and died this past Saturday Feb 10. Please let her know from me - thanks Bernie in Sydney (currently in Perth)

I think they help guest set up Wi-Fi and in return they get free minutes because it’s really expensive

Do you ever swim in the pools? You obviously can’t wear a badge while swimming. I am not on instagram to much since it’s all pictures.
The rule is we can go in if there’s less than 5 people in there, but I haven’t ever been in them :)
The music is a little distracting! I prefer no music! ❤
Every position deserves downtime and days off, it seems like some positions on cruise ships don’t seem to have that which is not cool and probably feeds their jealousy of the entertainment crew.
