  • I always wanted a touch screen interface to control my smart home devices, and I purchased the Amazon echo show for that very reason. Sonoff has released a Smart Scene wall switch, and I'm excited to see how well it works. So let’s unbox it

    Very good video. At least we can understand what everything does before we buy one. Thanks for your help.

    You can add a 3D printed spacer beneath the panel to fix the shallow housing issue.

    But how does it work? It recognised the lights bubs by just wiring the device, and you can control them with the app and the panel? Or do you need to provide a special wiring of the house to control them with the device? I don't know how it works and I would love to understand. Thank you 🙏

      @TalkingstuffNet  Před 5 měsíci

      The two switches are smart switches, so anything attached to them are automatically smart, and they can be individually controlled via the app and also physically.

    Interesting, I have five NSPanel US version but never bothered using the stock firmware, never seen how it works before. I use custom firmware on mine with Home Assistant... blueprint by blackymas, which seems much more capable than the stock firmware.

    nice review. can i add multiple temp sensors like SNZB-02 on this panel? do i need a ZigBee hub? thank you

    • @VinayakNair79
      @VinayakNair79 Před 7 měsíci +1

      The NSpanel has a built in zigbee hub, so no external hub is required.

    Thank you for the video. I do not have any sonoff switches. I have other smart switches that are google home compatible. Can we add all the switches available in google home on this panel? If so, please guide

      You can use IFTTT but you need a paid subscription on ewelink to do so.

    I’d kill for something like this that could handle my single gang fan and light but seems like yet again this isn’t quite the solution. Thanks for the info though will keep an eye on it!

    • @TalkingstuffNet
      @TalkingstuffNet  Před 2 lety

      You should be able to use the two physical switches, one for your fan and the other for your light. They're accessible via Alexa and Google home to control too.

    the issue with the pre existing switch boards is that. ..a neutral black wire comes rarely to the box ,mostly to give a socket outlet.. this device need a phase and a neutral to function. ..

    • @DarylRaverty
      @DarylRaverty Před 2 lety

      Hi, in Australia most newer homes do have a neutral at the switch. Not sure about your country but definitely in Australia. It's common so it's not an issue. I'm an electrician so putting a neutral in is not a problem either.

      No such thing as a phase line??? Line,load ,ground and neutral!

    Shame that on the back it says the relays are rated as 2A each, appears to be dangerous if connected to a normal power circuit with no additional fuse installed

    • @TalkingstuffNet
      @TalkingstuffNet  Před 2 lety

      Yeah I did see that, I'm only controlling wireless devices so it didn't worry me.

    • @bsem68
      @bsem68 Před 10 měsíci

      Why would you need a fuse? This is not designed to switch power circuits, but instead for lights and maybe ceiling fans which are way under 2A, just make sure the load does not exceed 2A per relay (check your lights and fan etc.). Running things like switched outlets or massive amount of lights would be dangerous though. In this case you would use a smart outlet and switch it via the NSPanel using automation.

      That depends on where you're from. In India it's Red (live), Black (Neutral) and Green (Earth). Sometimes it's Blue (neutral) and Brown (live). This is similar to how it's in Europe.

    I hope i can get a reply from itead from this post i am Backer 212 and I am feeling like i have been robbed. I thought by being a backer we would get our rewards before going on general sale to the public. On the 28th Nov I received a update saying ns-panel ready to send out, I have 2 friends who ordered fron the ITEAD web site two weeks ago and have already taken delivery I backed this project from day one and still waiting. I have sent a number of Email's to ITEAD with no reply, no updates, no tracking, It looks like the people who backed this project with there hard earned cash has been forgotten.
