i sacrificed my party to tiamat
Didn't see the presenter credited in the description, but they did a wonderful job here. Clear and efficient communication and a good sense of comedic timing. Well done!
I know, right!?
My dm made rouges the villains in our last adventure, The most powerful one ambushed us saying something like. "It's nothing personal you are just obstacles between us and our money." It was a cool adventure.
I played a rogue in a campaign once as a fun run for the class (never played a rogue before this) and my party came across a door that was enchanted to make a screaming sound if someone tried to force the door open as a form of alarm. I rolled to pick the lock and I remember the DM said this: "As you work your lockpicks in the keyhole of the door, you hear the door moaning in ecstasy and pants 'I haven't been touched like that in so long'. My party practically died laughing. I was so embarrassed I haven't played a rogue since.
Sorry for the tangent, but that whole 'Door' example with the skills reminded me of it.
The problem with using the free version: if you are doing the Variant Human and choose a feat like Magic Initiate, you can't choose spells and have to note them in the notes section.
I prefer playing as a rogue! It's fun to do all the things I wish I could do IRL that I know will never actually happen. Lol thank you for explaining all of this!
We're in the same boat- parkour is HARD!
Just seen your commercial on CZcams .
Character I would like too bring to life.
Half-ling-Giant
STEVE ZARAGOZA?!
Fun video and great tips for the beginniner rogue. On the more experienced side... I would have hoped for some pros and cons with a rogue, so instead of "you will use this a lot", I would love a litte "why" (are you as a rogue best fitted to deal with this). Nonetheless, great video.
Because a rogue gets nothing mechanically, they are almost a satire of a class. A meme
I don't agree, those sneak attacks are good. And they can use Thieves' Tools. You just need to get creative, a little more so with a rogue that I agee with you.
@@FamBoren the issue, sneak attacks does comically little damage based on levels they are used, and the skills they used can outdone by rangers, bards or literally most casters. They are given caster health/durability with no caster viability, damage or abilities. thematically rogues are awesome but mechanically they are a joke
@@FamBoren thieves tools can be less creative then cantrips, the spell caster bias is a thing that does exist, when rogues are treated as non fantastical they become a joke. A set of tools can do so little especially when thought is put in. The game mechanically makes this worse rather than justifying it. Especially with the last rogue UA.
@@thesquishogods8015 well, there is room for improvements, that's for sure, but there are some mechanics that benefits the sneaky. Things like jumping in and out of combat, striking and hiding etc.
My DM says rogues lose their sneak attack once the enemy is aware of you. It doesnt matter if i have advantage.
Should have seen this before I made my rogue lol, I went in blind.
The only d&d I play is old enough that "thief" is still a class.
You can keep this new stuff....
Charisma is like can you successfully have sexy time with the store or on a wall or tree or bracelet or inanimate objects or living being
Well put together, and I always love help videos for newer players (I wish I had these when I was new)
I’ll love to join a campaign I’ve been looking to join one. I don’t know how to join another campaign is there anybody that will let me join their campaign?
Look up your local gaming shop or your city library. They should host games
If the desgise kit wasn't enough for you, fellows, (especially the ones with adhd,) the bagpipes in this tf2 reference. (Irish ambassador theme)
@DnDBeyond, can you teach me how to build my first Fighter in another video?
I do love rogues
Same, same.
Charisma: You engaged in social engineering to get someone to open the door for you.
Pro tip. Check out rogues in pathfinder 2nd edition
Pro tip. Check out the toxic workplace conditions at Paizo.
@@bigmikebeebee You mean Jessica price? The woman who, WITHOUT fail, has air allegations towards ANY company she was fired from? The woman who told a guy to kill himself on the pazio forums because he asked why they made a trans character? You mean the woman who got herself fired from GW2's team for having a victim complex and ego the size of Neptune?
Please.
@Bigmike Beebee so you're simping for a company who just tried to bottom surgery the community
d&d beyond
My character is created idk how to start playin
Random Steve Zaragoza woo
Oh, you used THAT door in your example... None of those things are gonna work on THAT door... My players are going to be visiting that door soon.
Starting a new lv4 Rogue tomorrow.
Took the Prodigy and Skill Expert feats so that I can be a multi Expertise Thief.
That was a waste of feats
Can you please show me a guide to make a rogue that is mechanically useful?
I'm a wizard
That is an odd video to release.
That is an odd comment to make.
@@bigmikebeebee I feel like they are coping on the weak design of the rogue so the comment is justified
Shame that the only time Rogue has ever actually been decent was 4e and y'all won't make them better.
Because bias to the fantastical. It’s something I realized even in he Elden Ring community, but especially mechanically in games. If you aren’t magical you aren’t special… .-. Thank god from soft has some sense of game design
Before you make a guide on making a rogue, please make them a viable class rather than a joke. I almost thought this video was satire only to find out it was actually suffering
