It would be great to hear how you guys deal with water, toilets, showers, laundry etc while on that land. Are you going into town a lot?..but you also have to work a full time job.

We have not moved the RV in the month that we’ve been here. There is water on-site here at the ranch and we fill our water bladder at the spigot to transfer back to our RV fresh tank. We’ve had to do this twice in the time we’ve been here. We use buckets to capture clean water from dishes and showers to water the bushes outside, this extends the length of our grey tank considerably. We have a 75 gallon black tank, so we haven’t had to dump it yet, though it is now reading full 😬 we have a “blue boy” portable tank just in case we need to dump some of our grey or black, we can just take it to a nearby dump station. We’ve been doing our laundry at a nearby laundromat which costs more but saves on water and tank space. Hope that helps!

@@PerpetualMoves Thank you for all the additional information. I like the idea of the water bladder and the blue boy. We have a DP and small tow car so we would need a dump site very close by so we could roll/pull the blue boy behind the tow car. My wife and I are not as "efficent" with water as you guys so we never seem to make it past 4 days for water/black/grey refill and dump :( We mainly boondock as we travel from one RV site to another, which has been up to 5 days of continuous driving

That’s pretty good!! Everyone does it different! We like to stay out boondocking as long as possible, so we’ve set up our systems to last without us having to move the bus! We have another video called “boondokcing upgrades” that shows some of these things if you’re interested 👍

We’re retired, so do not have the issue you guys have with balancing a full work week and moving. But we, too, are trying to find the right balance between “travel mode” and “relaxing mode”. This summer, we will do over 8,000 miles on our Alaska journey, but this fall, we will stay in place in Charleston, volunteering for the National Park Service. It’s always a work in progress to get that mix just right!

We completely agree!! We had Alaska in our sights for this summer but decided to slow down instead. We think ya’ll have a good plan!! 👍

We try moving less too, but sometimes can't help ourselves!

I'm trying to move less but hasn't worked out that way yet. I have slowed down to 60 mph and that has added a little over 1 mpg. When you stop at a place with water you should spray out your radiator from the back forward. With dirt road travel it collects a lot of dirt. Stay safe and thanks for the video.

Thanks Tim. We rinse the radiator about once a month due to all the dirt roads and boondocking. And we’ve been setting the cruise control at 55 mph. ⛽️ hope you get to move less soon!
