You will have the best pressed penny collection when this year is up.
I never expected the words "most beloved assassinated presidents" to ever be said in that order! 😂😂 Also, I loved the shot at the end of you adding the pressed pennies to the Piggy Weavil.
Great idea putting smashed pennies in the piggy weevil!
Yeah for sure. I think that's what the monster said he built it for but man are those monsters hard to understand with their masks on lol. Takes me back to covid when no one could understand a word I was saying.
One of my worst childhood memories is viewing the liberty bell and back in the early 90s you could get right up and touch it. A security guard told me to touch it for good luck and then angrily scolded me for cracking it! 😱 I was probably 8 years old! Scarred me for life!
I find it hilarious that rocky has more merchandise than historical things and the bell 😂
Alot of Americans don't know about The Liberty Bell, especially the younger generations, but everyone knows Rocky Balboa!
@@MichaelReynolds-ff6wrif you think my kids know about a fictional boxer from the 80s instead of the bell you are absolutely off your rocker😂 contrary to popular belief they do still talk about the American revolution in schools and most kids are not going out of their way to watch boxing movies
I’m surprised you didn’t run into Nicolas Cage sneaking around with a copy of the Declaration of Independence!
😂😂😂
Hey Big J you forgot about Taco "Bell" my guy 😂😂
The most famous bell in the world IS THE TACO BELL!!!!! C'MON!!!
So far this year I've been amazed at the variety of penny press machines.
I'm so happy you enjoy my home state of Pennsylvania Jacob. Hoping to see you on one of visits. Safe travels as always ✌️❤️🙂
good job explaining the Liberty Bell Jacob! 🌟💚
America sure has some beautiful brick buildings. Thanks so much Jacob 👍🏼
For some reason I kept expecting Philly Captain to zip by you on his scooter. Thanks for showing the bell it’s smaller than I thought it would be. I just pictured it being bigger.
The year of the pressed penny is really fun and exciting
Folks can say what they will about philly, but a good cheese steak cant be argued with and will always hit the spot right. Glad you got yours Jacob! Bon appetit friend and as our motto says, "Philly, the place that LOVES you back"!
Great video,Jacob your getting quite the collection of penny's. Looking forward to the next, take care my friend and safe travels as always.
Dang, just saw that Jim's Steaks on South Street reopened today and they have the phenomenal mosaic clad dining rooms on the second floor open for customers. Next time, Jacob, you need to put Jims Steaks on your list.
Back in the mid 90's, I was a cast member of the Philadelphia Towne Criers. We dressed in Colonia garb, greeted tourists, and performed skits. It was a lot of fun. So, seeing you there takes me back. The Liberty Bell was in a smaller building from 1975 in the center of the quad and The Visitors Center hadn't been built yet. It's so much better now. You should also see the Benjiman Franklin Museum. It's under ground!
Hi Jacob 👋🏽. I hope you are having the time of your life ‼️ enjoy the beautiful weather ‼️👋🏽
Hope you had a great time! Can’t wait for the next video
Hey Jacob Roll On CarpetBagger Roll On! Safe Travels Jacob.
Morning Jacob 🤓📸 I've been to Philadelphia to see the library bell 🔔 in person, i been to the mutter museum in the past as well saw the old capital buildings, gone to Chinatown we eat at a Korean restaurant there. It was small lol this was in 2005 my dad and my middle brother cause im the youngest the third in the family. Thanks for sharing this. Take care my friend. ✌️
I recommend Jim's on South Street for Cheesesteaks. They just reopened after a fire 2 years ago.
The Dublin church bells are also pretty famous. I did a tour and they let us ring them.
Thanks you
Good Morning " YA ALL " Jacob the Carpetbagger .!!
Cathedral of notradame bells
Awesome video as always
I love history and this was so much fun for me. Thank you!
Went to Philly back in the early 70's on my seventh grade school trip. Back then the bell was not in a house of it's own and we were able to touch it. Tickets were not necessary for Independance Hall either. We went on a permanently docked ship named the Olympia. My how times have changed.
First time I came to Philly I was 2 or 3. The last time I was here it was Easter weekend when I was 15. My dad, me and 2 of my friends took a 3 hour trip up via Amtrak.
This time of year there are a lot of school trips to the liberty bell. BUT there are a lot of really good museums in philly you should check out!
The bell tower at Caroline park in Dayton, Ohio.
Which is played on special occasions!!!
Carpetbagger should sell Pig Weevils in his store. everybody wants it now.
omg you made me cry with that closing! 🥰
Wow, I remember when they were still working on the President’s House. I was visiting my grandmother (I was 22 in 2016) and they were starting to build it.
The Bells of Notre Dame should be in the top 5!
When I think of famous bells, these definitely top my list, too!
"Let the anvils ring! 🎶"
Independence hall is awesome & liberty bell too. Good to see Piggy Weavil getting fed.
I remember when I was a kid about maybe 12 or 13 you could actually touch the real Liberty Bell maybe back late 70s early 80s
The true history of bells is very interesting. Thousands were destroyed and melted down to make canon balls. The frequency of bells were used for healing in the cathedrals.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! SO MUCH for having such a great and positive Visiting Philadelphia (my home city) video. I'm going to share it with everyone, I know they will love it. If you are ever back again, I can suggest all the best things! I think you'd really like visiting Eastern State Penitentiary. It's creepy even during the day on a regular history tour. And I agree with one of the other comments, if you haven't visited The Mutter Museum, totally in the Carpetbagger wheelhouse of places.
Adam The Woo needs to take you to a baseball game. He can tell you everything and it'll be a great video.
Thanks for coming and visiting Philadelphia’s historical area. Too bad you missed getting into independence hall. This time of the year is usually a good time to visit. Summer time these areas are always busy. I am glad you were able to try one of our local favorite foods, the cheese steak. In general you can get a good one at most places that offer them. Reading Terminal Market is one place with several cheese steak outlets. This is the building that used to be under the old Reading Railroad Terminal on Market Street. It is now under part of the convention center. I know you like odd items and one of them is if you enter the Convention Center from the Market street entrance you will see some metal strips in the floor. This represents where the old tracks were located in the building. Keep taking us to interesting areas.
Thanxx I haven't been able to get back there to see the place
Don't forget Art Bell!
Awesome video, CB! Thanks. Jim's Steaks is my fav for cheesesteaks in Philly.
My favorite thing crazy Philly fans ever did was, boo and throw snowballs at Santa Claus (i do believe the Easter Bunny was booed too😂). Lol I do not believe that would happen anyplace else but in Philly. Great video Jake, I love Philadelphia! (Well parts of it)
Why did they Boo Santa Claus? What, are they atheists?
@@MichaelReynolds-ff6wr No, there is a very good article about it online for thedp, but it basically boils down to it being 1968 halftime at an eagles game when the team was probably to worst its ever been and it snowed the night before and they couldn't clear the stadium of snow. People were cold, anger and miserable and santa came out during halftime and if you have ever been to a sporting event then I shouldn't have to tell you that once sometime happens, a lot of people tend to roll with it lol, especially in Philly.
Only if the Staue Of Liberty can talk. What will it says to the Liberty Bell.
"Let's Put a Ring On"
Hey Jacob, next time you are in Philadelphia, make sure to visit the Museum of the American Revolution. It's right down the street from independence hall. The cornerstone of the Museum's collection is General George Washington's Revolutionary War Tent. It is absolutely amazing to see. Keep up the great videos!
When I was seven or eight, my parents and I took a trip to Philadelphia in our Winnebago. We saw Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, as well as Valley Forge. It was a heady experience for me as an impressionable young man and that was where my love or history began. And the cheeesteaks are good because they have to be, or they wouldn't last long in a city that takes it's cheeesteaks as serious as Philly.
The right cheese steak will create a lifetime of pleasant memories, with that said as a native we discourage Pat's or Genos, because theirs much better options available
@TheCarpetbagger Jacob, there is a bell that celebrates a 50th anniversary Milestone next year in 2025.That is the bell of the Famous Edmund Fitzgerald that is on display in The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Paradise, Michigan not that far from Whitefish Point where the ship went down. I would go early in the season to see that bell before the bigger crowd gets there, and they have the Reading of the Nanmes and Ceremonial Ringing of the Bell for those lost in November. Yes, I'm talking about the same ship that the late Gordon Lightfoot sang about in "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."
Toledo, Spain also has a bell the broke the first time, but its so big they can't remove it
Hi Jacob on your way home stop by Newport KY to see the Peace Bell . I've also heard of Cincinnati has a big joe bell in a church St Francis Dr Sales
The Phillies fanattic is the official mascot for Philadelphia Phillies baseball team
They are just called the phillies? Creative
Lmao I feel anxious on how many Jacob spend on pressed pennies 😂
Taco bell should be top 5.
I kid. I kid.
Hell's bells should be in there somewhere too!
Burbank and Southern California must have a lotta of good old bells lol. The bell was smart.
Hi Jacob 👋 another great video 📹 have a nice day 😊
Would love to go there!
Great video, Jacob
When I was a kid you could touch the Liberty Bell.
Great video! The Liberty Bell is so cool!
You want a bad cheese steak in Philadelphia, Hooters! but no one goes there for cheese steaks!!!!
At the end of the year you should show all the pennies you collected
what a fun way to review the year.
The bell that hangs now is called the independent bell
Congrats on not getting mugged or shot.
Jacob there is a liberty bell in our government building in Plattsburgh, NY
Did you get to see the Philly Captain?
Philly fanatic. Mascot for the Phillies. it was written on his shirt. Lol.
Bells of Notre Dame
Jacob since you're close to VA, stop by to hit up the Smithsonian museums and other museums such as the Museum of the Marine Corp.
Hi Jacob super Interesting I have enjoyed this alot. So how about the lookout's bell on the Titanic that rang out Iceberg ahead.. I am not sure If It has been found however either way It's a very historic bell. !!! And that cheese steak yummy!!!!! XXX
Jacob I totally forgot about the most famous bell is the bell tower in broghton high school here in Raleigh nc

Dude, you were right by Sonny’s and you got a cheesesteak from a street cart?! No, no,no.
I seen liberty bell when I was a kid and the hands on museum in that area of Philadelphia , independence hall too then I went to amusement park nearby but I wasn't sure if it was Dorney or a defunct park now , but I do remember they had a coaster that just went in a Erected O and a crazy mouse metal coaster
The philadelphia Phillies is Philly Phanatic mascot for
Phillies is my favorite MLB team...if you ever watch the phanatic you'll keep laughing and have a great time ..so if you ever want to find a article to meet him try your best to do so
Philadelphia for many years was the Capitol of the United States before Washington D.C...and Washington put the first mark to start the new capitol
The only thing on declaration of Independence was self evidence ..right to be was Thomas Jefferson
Thanks for visiting Philadelphia. We have many more historical sites you can visit. As you noted the cheese steak as well as the hoggie and the soft pretzel as well as traditional Italian water ice are considered local favorite foods. You most likely did the best thing enjoying a cheese steak from one of the food trucks. Pat and Gino’s are very famous and I have eaten at both places but I have found most other places serve a better sandwich. While cheese wiz is a big thing with both of them most establishments feature real cheese on your steak sandwich: American, provolone, or Swiss provide a much better added flavor. Of course there are also many other variables you can order such as onions, raw or fried, peppers, sweet or hot, pickle and at some places other additions. So to really try our favorite local cheese steak you need to eat one from various locations to pick your best. As for food in center city I also recommend Reading Terminal Market. This location has many great food outlets as well as places to buy food to take home and enjoy. It is located next to the Convention Center under what was originally the Reading Railroad Terminal and now serves as part of the Convention Center entrance on Market street. One interesting feature of this part of the Convention Center is they placed metal strips in the floor where the railroad tracks used to be located.
I’ve ate cheese steak from Geno’s & Pat’s I’ve never tasted John’s roast pork. ❤❤
Okay carpetbagger ❤love the videos man come to Bush gardens Williamsburg
Flyers(hockey) and the Phillies(baseball)
I found this on Wikipedia Ona "Oney" Judge Staines (c. 1773 - February 25, 1848) was an enslaved biracial woman who was owned by the Washington family, first at the family's plantation at Mount Vernon and later, after George Washington became president, at the President's House in Philadelphia, then the nation's capital city.[1] In her early twenties, she absconded, becoming a fugitive slave, after learning that Martha Washington had intended to transfer ownership of her to her granddaughter, known to have a horrible temper. She fled to New Hampshire, where she married, had children, and converted to Christianity. Though she was never formally freed, the Washington family ultimately stopped pressing her to return to Virginia after George Washington's death.
chew your food!
The Liberty Bell is the most famous Bell ever made well that’s a Google says
There the bells of Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris
Alexander Graham Bell😂😂❤
Hog-Zilla! Hog-Zilla! Hog-Zilla!...
The RMS Titanics bell should be on that list.
The liberty bell was also rung at gorge Washington’s funeral and justice John marshal funeral when it was rung for a second time that’s why there is a crack in the bell after that they cast the bell in bronze justice John marshal was on the Supreme Court he was was my great grandfather I’m related to the liberty bell
I thought the Arlington house was George Washington's house in Arlington National Cemetery
Other famous bells include the world's biggest: the Czar Bell in Russia. It's never actually been rung.
I hope that’s not one of those piggy banks that you have to break to get the coins out of.
Taco Bell is pretty famous 😂
Taco Bell is pretty famous 😂 Did Big Ben’s bell ever crack. I wonder if they made the Liberty Bell defective because they were mad we wanted our independence 🤔😉
