The real crime is that Jeremy Soule’s work for the first three games isn’t on Spotify.

The most underrated Jeremy Soule work.
Because everyone remembers his Elder Scrolls work.

It's almost insulting how good this soundtrack is for a licensed game
GodOfExploding Not all licensed games are bad, and this one was pretty decent.
Jeremy Soule can do no wrong. Ever. Any soundtrack he helped on is fantastic.
This Game was too short and too easy compared to the previous Game. But it was epic indeed.
Which version? PC, Xbox, GC or PS2? The console versions are easy enough to find. As for the PC version, they haven't been put on Steam yet. There's a petition for the HP games to go on Steam, but we're still waiting. Maybe you'll have to obtain the game through questionable means if you want the PC version.
Most of them are from the previous games
who else played this game in their time of true happiness? back when everything was so simple and clear...
my first pc game i ever played. Was afraid of the train car episode during that time. Being Ron, defending Harry from the dementor
I haven't been able to enjoy anything HP related since finding out that Rowling was an awful human being. I used to listen to this, watch the movies, and play the old games all of the time.

I like how you can see Jeremy Soule exploring new things in each of these Potter soundtracks.
In _Stone,_ he focused on composing themes and moods, many that he would continue to use in the following entries. He didn’t have access to many musicians for that project, so he recorded most of the soundtrack himself on orchestra software.
With _Chamber,_ Soule mostly dwelt on improving the themes that worked while spending more time composing new themes using the lessons he’d learned after the first game. While some pieces are less memorable, nothing sticks out as odd, like the first game’s “Phoenix”/“Gnomes” track (a great piece, but kind of an oddball in the soundtrack as a whole). Also, Soule had a live orchestra to record this time around, breathing new life into familiar themes and fleshing out the music throughout the game.
What stands out to me about the _Prisoner_ score is the scale. While this soundtrack borrows the most from the previous games, the new versions and new compositions emphasize the highs and lows of the adventure. Big, sweeping themes; an epic choir; and more prominent, varied percussion heighten the drama in this darker plot. Elsewhere, slinky clarinets, moody cellos, comforting bassoons, and quietly screeching strings bring life to the quiet, tense moments.
The first 3 Harry Potter pc games, especially the third one, were such a big part of my childhood. Listening to this makes me feel so nostalgic :’)
even though the 3rd one is the worst one on PC. It was the same for me, I loved the 3rd one the most, but having replayed, and 100% completed (all secrets + wizard cards) as an adult, I just enjoyed the first two more.
One of my favorite games.
Probably due to nostalgia glasses but still I fucking loved it.
Me too, mate. I still play this game sometimes :)
Same 🙂
I'd say it's actually a pretty good game
Hope everyone's having fun on their nostalgia trips. I myself am about to start crying, so mine's going well.

most intense shit right there god

By the way first 3 has a special place in my heart. After comparing with others, it is clear that those three have similar designs such as spell effects or graphics.

@Jenny S "Siriusly"...I see what you did there. :p
Good God, what I wouldn’t give to go back to those innocent days as a 9 year old playing this incredible game listening to this gorgeous soundtrack. The Harry Potter books, films and games made my childhood truly special.

The dragon one really is the best, it gets stuck in my head and I can never remember that it's from here. Great time stamp selections.
I love this soundtrack, it’s truly amazing that a licensed game can have kickass tracks.
Especially the one at 1:16:43, the most awesome final boss music i’ve ever heard
The courtyard track always reminds me of running through the shoolyard, over the wooden bridge, into the main gates, and to Hagrid's hut.
The tracks with the Hogwarts theme make me so happy
It makes me so happy seeing so much people particularly remarking 48:15 theme not only on this game but also and in my case in CoS. It makes me feel so nice
13:44 **sobs** It's so beautiful!
Its so beautiful ♡ :)
The motif of the amazing trilogy
Indeed.
beautiful profile picture (unbiased opinion of course!)
It’s unbelievable how certain sounds can trigger such amazing memories. The first three games in this franchise we’re incredible during my childhood, I truly yearn for those days back, even though they are well and gone...
These on PC where the G.O.A.T.
1:14:12. Each of the first three games had a very distinct feel to me. The first one was super cheery and light hearted, the second one had darker tones but still felt mainly like the first game, but the third one really took on a darker tone overall. Love how the developers/composers really made the world feel darker/more mature as the golden trio grew up, year by year! The puzzles became harder, the spell challenges became more intense, now you needed all three to complete a single challenge! Especially with this song, giving me that “you’re not supposed to be in this “too sacred for yourself” area.” Finally it’s cool that overall there are traces to past games soundtracks in newer games(at least in the first three), making the worlds truly feel connected between games.
PS- I played the GameCube version of all the games so I don’t know if this correlates with the PC/other versions.
I do think it's funny that this soundtrack surpasses by far the music to the movies after john williams stoped doing them
I wish I could escape in that world again :) Thanks for the video !
I still do. Theres never a time when you can't.
Sam Sitayeb Every single time I start playing this I feel like it's again that Christmas (2004 or so) when I first played that. So I kinda agree :')

40:05 is so dang nostalgic. That music paired with the giant Draconifors room in the Whomping Willow with the sideroom containing rings of beans is one of my most prominent memories of this game.
This brigs back so many memories. These games were such a big part of my childhood, this literally brings tears to my eyes

It's the hedwig flying theme in the console versions iirc

best part of this game were Hermione's challenges 😞 soooo weird

Just finished playing this game after at least 10 years. What a masterpiece in both gameplay and soundtrack. I'm literally in tears as I listen to this remembering my entire childhood and how good these games were, fuck
This soundtrack is so amazing. I love track 88. Shrieking Shack Orchestral 1:14:12
This was by far the best Harry Potter game. The music also is so good and nostalgic I love it!
Those dementors and charmed skeletons had me falling out of my chair. Nightmare fuel there.
When I saw those charmed skeletons for the first time, I jumped out of my chair.
One of the old treasures of EA which are now rare and expansive af... Battle for Middle-Earth I, II and RotWK, Harry Potter I, II and III, the old Sims series... Goddammit, I wanna go back in time. Where the hell is Hermione?
The first three Harry Potter games and The Sims/The Sims 2 are essentially the definition of my childhood. EA had so much potential to produce some really amazing games because these titles are basically iconic pieces of video game history now. Such a pity the company destroyed itself by producing one shitty title after another.
Have the first three but nothing to play it with ;(

When I was a child I fell in love with the music. I'd spend ten minutes in the main menu just listening to it. Even if the game itself wasn't that good I still enjoyed it as much as I could. This soundtrack should be recognized as it is, a masterpiece!
i recently visited a abandoned castle to film there for youtube wich reminded me a bit off hogwarts for some reason oh and thank you for uploading this :) sometimes i wish i could travel to that world
the first 3 licensed games for harry potter honestly felt more like harry potter then either the books or moves, there was just so much wonder in these that the movies and books never really captured, even the new game falls flat in that area i feel, it might just be the soundtrack but honestly when i think harry potter i think more about those 3 games then i do anything else
I got this game to work again recently, and I've played it non-stop. Yeah, I beat it in a few hours, but there are so many memories!
0:36 is where the nostalgia lies for me personally.
At 22:40 I can hear my wand getting ready to cast some gnarly carpe retractum
to this day I still wonder why draco gets more dramatic music than any other character in harry potter save the basilisk and the dementors, lol
From Chile here, I used to play the hp games back then at cibers, many people played too
Just how much I loved the part of using hermione and the thing of the bunnies and above all else the instrumental music behind in that stage, there were complicated parts of the game for me as a child but with that one in particular I always felt that nothing bad can happen so I really enjoyed xD

I've haven't played a second of the HP games but my word the music is bloody fantastic.
Thanks a lot for uploading this piece of memory!!!
34:58 I love this soundtrack so much I wish it was my background music. So magical, chill and fun
The main theme is incredibly well-orchestrated for a budget video game. The brass instruments are playing it, then the choir enters, then it's reinforced with trumpets and the strings have a tremolo figure in the background. Jeremy Soule got a talent for orchestral music.
I keep thinking about this theme and having violins play in faster time than the brass section is something that Richard Wagner or Anton Bruckner would write. I really like this orchestration trick.
Jeremy is so fucking good in capturing that same magical feel that John Williams created in his music.
I can´t believe how good theses soundtracks are! Truly one of the best games i have ever played! Glad that i found this after years. :)
oh my god, that first track is beautiful. did he use a real choir? so much of this sounds like legit orchestral. is it? if so, that is amazing. I wish I could've seen the performance first hand.

i was in class and playing this game on a GBA emulator and i started it and the main menu reminded me of the main menu song from the ps2 edition and I couldn't stop thinking about it and decided I had to listen to it when I got back home. I always undermine how much nostalgia can hit you
I got an Xbox in Christmas 2005 - my first gaming console - and POA was the first game I ever played. I loved it SO much (except for getting stuck on the dementor levels a few times) that I started playing it in other languages to shake things up a bit. Massive nostalgia ❤
Masterpiece! The game and music too... I love it! :) More such games, please.
This game is just amazing. Too memories *-*
To my eyes, it is totally fair to say that the game soundtrack overshadows the movie's, with all due respect to John Williams.
Both the movie and the game are my favorites. For me I wont say overshadowed but I can see why some people choose it. It definitely matched movie's caliber. Listening to 'A window to the past' gives me chills every single time just like listening to the main menu music of the game.
It’s amazing what these games came to be in the end despite being very restricted from reference of the film sets and tone.
