I love this. I also lost a daughter, 4 years ago. She spent a week on life support before she passed, and while that week was fraught with stress and uncertainty and anguish and tears, we also saw many miracles and felt the peace and comfort of God. Our daughter saved three lives through organ donation, which has given us so much peace. I love the drawing in this video of Jesus holding their little girl. What a precious, beautiful reminder that she is at peace with him.

Meredith, As I read your comment, I stopped and prayed for you, the sweet sister inthe video, and for all who have lost a child. I prayed for your family, the friends who miss your daughter, and any touched by her life. I know that she was taken before the age of accountability. She was spared trials and hardships that may have come her way later in life. To the extent that she is allowed to be a guardian angel for you and your family, I know that she will be doing everything possible on the other side of the veil to help and will be like Joseph Smith in preparing a way for you. My heart goes out to you. What a great blessing for those who received organs. I hope those recipients end up being a blessing in your life in some way.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful daughters life with me. I lost my first son at age 4 by a drunk driver, although I wasn't responsible, he was just sitting at red light with his grandma they both were killed, I felt guilt. I had to turn to the Savior for peace and I counted the miracles as well. Including a beautiful letter about sight being restored to two children from the donation of his cornea, all his other organs were too damaged. Elsie is in a special place same as my Jordan, and they are watching over us. Its been 30 years since Jordan died, and the miracles continue.

Keep strong in the faith, dear sister and remember your temple covenants and the promises of the HolyScriptures. Thank you for your video, I didn’t loose a child, I lost my wife suddenly after a prayer and kiss good night. I found her slumped forward in the bathroom at 3:00 in the morning about six weeks ago. She was unresponsive and I started CPR and called 911 immediately. The paramedics were there n two or three minutes but could not revive her. We had talked about funerals just a week prior and kidded each other that we would come back and haunt the other if we over spent on the funeral. She died four days before our 44th anniversary and had been sick for most of those years. She liked to kid me that she must have been allergic to me because she got started getting sick six months after we got married. We had what I would call a great marriage - she was an exceptional person - so it was probably mostly due to her efforts, and I miss her terribly. However I know I will see and be with her again eternally one day.
    Again, thank you for sharing

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video and for those inspired words. My oldest child (and only son) lost his life in 2011 in a boat accident during a church activity. He was one week from his 15th birthday.
My family and I miss him every day, but we are grateful for so many, many things: that he died almost instantly and probably painlessly; that no one else in the boat was badly hurt; that there were two priesthood leaders there, one of whom was able to give him a blessing as he passed; and that so many, many people in our ward and our community reached out to our family with love and compassion.
I don’t believe that God "took" my son-instead, I believe we live in a fallen world where accidents happen and children sometimes die from illness or injury. And my testimony is that God, our Father, mourns with us. He feels our pain and our anguish, and he sends His Holy Spirit and works through other people to bless and comfort those who have lost loved ones.
How grateful I am for a loving God, a loving Savior, and their plan of salvation that promises our family is eternal.

Yes, that rings true to me too, that God doesn't "take" those we love in those ways. Sometimes, terrible things just happen. But Jesus wept with Mary and Martha even when He knew He could make their separation from Lazarus shorter than what the rest of us go through when someone we love dies. I know He will end the separation of death for all of us too. Doesn't mean it isn't hard now, but I am so grateful that death is not the end.
I was heartbroken when my dad died unexpectedly, but I did feel some peace. It doesn't make sense to feel any peace after times like these, and that is a testimony to me that those feelings come from from God as we try to turn to Him for comfort.
Thank you so much for sharing your testimony. I'm so very sorry that your son passed away. ❤

Thank you for sharing your story. We, too, lost our 11 year old daughter (and mother at the same time) in a rollover accident on our way to Hershey, PA on spring break in 2006. My husband was able to restart our daughter's heart as well at the scene, and in the end, this saved several others' lives through organ donation, too. Our tragedy became someone's blessing. It was hard at first to make this decision, when you're trying to cope with the stress, but, you literally only have such a short time to make the decision to donate. I, too, never imagined losing a child. But, in every tragedy, there are tender mercies of the Lord along the way. It gave us many opportunities to share our beliefs with others out here in Ohio. I lost 2 daughters, very slowly. The disease made it hard for them to learn to walk and talk and it progressed until they died at ages 25 and 26 at only about 80 pounds. Their organs were not good for transplanting. Their disabilities had confined them to wheelchairs from 2nd grade on. They could read and speak with difficulty but not write. So, they left nothing behind except what got written on the hearts of the people that loved them and were loved by them. Some day I'll know what they took with them. I have to trust that everything fits in God's plan.

I love how you shared that you didn't believe there was a prompting to go in sooner. Many people often feel when a loved one that is a child dies that they did something wrong, it is not so. Each of our lives has a beginning and an end point and only the Lord knows when it is our time to go. We just have to trust the Lord when he takes our loved ones, because their mission was finished on the earth. I believe that the Lord is in all the events of our lives, and we just have to trust him and keep moving our feet, through the good, the hard and even the super challenging times. Sometimes it feels so much easier said than done. May Heavenly Father be with each of you, no matter what you are facing!

It's not that God doesn't answer your prayers. He just doesn't answer them the way you want to hear them. His purpose and your purpose are two different purposes. But he will never deny you happiness because he is a god of love. Yes the death of a child does change the family and it can change it for the good or can change it for the bad it depends on how you view that death. There are those who lose loved ones and curse God and never find that love that he gives. And then there are those who look for the good and something that was bad and they have a better outcome in life. I can only speak from experience.

I can't begin to tell you how I feel. I just know things, I've been blessed to know things beyond the grave. Little children who die young are perfect in the eyes of Christ and have more to do then you can imagine in the Celestial Kingdom. When mothers pass on to the other side they will have those children to raise just as if they were on the Earth. I have found over a thousand infant mortality in the three years I've been working on my family history. Each and every one of those children I have come to know personally because of my geneology work, and look forward to seeing them when I passed through the veil also. There are many things we don't understand about death but little children who died young are perfect and only need their bodies for a moment to advance in the celestrial world. You will see your daughter again. That I know as sure as I know Jesus is the Christ.

Thank you for looking for and finding those members of your family! I am passionate about finding every family member in a family. So often, only those who have decedents to look for them have an entry with their parents. But just as this video shows, our children all are part of who we are, and each is part of our family. Knowing that a parent has buried a child (or children) gives you a glimpse of how that family may have been shaped by that, just as Sunny shows us in this video. These little ones may not have lived long enough to have made a broad impression on the world, but they certainly did leave a deep impression on the hearts of those who did know and love them for their brief time in mortality.

It's beautiful to see the healing power of the atonement and the peace the gospel brings. For those of you suffering similarly but haven't made it through yet, here's a quote from Joseph Smith that may help
"The Lord takes many away, even in infancy, that they may escape the envy of man, and the sorrows and evils of this present world; they were too pure, too lovely to live on earth; therefore if rightly considered, instead of mourning, we have reason to rejoice as they are delivered from evil, and we shall soon have them again... the only difference between the old and young dying is, one lives longer in heaven and eternal light and glory than the other, and is freed a little sooner from this miserable, wicked world."

I just had my first child and she’s a girl. I take it for granted sometimes the life I have. I’ve never thought something like this could happen. Thank you for sharing your testimony. In a way, I envy your strength. This testimony brought tears to my eyes in the smiths parking lot after playing pick up. I know I needed to hear this now. Thank you thank you.

I’m grieving the loss of my 30 year old son just one month ago. When I opened CZcams, I asked for a church video that would give me relief from my torment. This one was on the first page. As this beautiful mother gave her testimony, I could feel her pain as though it was my own. Tears are crawling down my cheeks as I write these words and I am still grieving, but this mother’s faith gives me hope and her love gives me peace.

Sunny, your face shows the love of Christ. I too lost my daughter unexpectedly and there were incredible miracles along the way, his tender mercies among the pain and grief were so evident on a day to day basis. It's been 3 years since I got on a plane carrying my beautiful daughter's ashes in a box and brought her home for the final time. I seek the peace that you have found, I cry everyday missing her, even though I know her sufferings are over and she is at peace. My suffering and pain goes on because her precious daughter was given to a foster family even though we fought for 3 years, thus our pain is compounded by the knowledge that part of our family has been taken from us. I can not comprehend why, only the Lord knows why and I pray for her. May I ask for a prayer in our families behalf? Thank you for this video, I will carry your words with me on my journey.

Thank you for sharing her story and your faith. Our daughter died 10 years ago from melanoma. I blame myself for delaying her diagnosis initially and again when it spread in her body. The pain of loss is real. Faith in the sealing power of the Priesthood reminds me we are eternally bound together, and we will see our beloved Liz again someday.
