The kid in the background at 0:48 definitely knows this piece too.
Matthew Hume The boy is the one playing Invention n5
Or he is practicing his piece.I usually did it as well when my turn was to come.
Hahaha yesss
Lol
Everyone has to play it.
This performance is definitely way better than what lot of adult people can make.
It’s really cool how they incorporated younger performers in this All of Bach project. It shows that Bach’s music transcends time, and it shows that talent isn’t limited by age.
Actually one of the best performances I've saw in my opinion
He has his own youtube channel and with some more recent recent recordings.
Tasteful rendition. A master soon.
I think it’s safe to say he’s already a master
I remember playing this in college! It’s such a fun piece to play ❤️
The Inventions remain some of my favorite compositions from the master. Such little chocolate covered nuggets of simple, pure musical form and beauty
truthfully!!
Excellent!! This one and Invention No. 8 are my favorite.
Well done. What a beautiful instrument.
Bach on 21st Century Piano: meh...
Bach on Harpsichord: SO NOSTALGIC & FITTING!!
I KNOW RIGHT?! When I play inventions on my digital piano I always change the sound to harpsichord because it sounds more fitting!
@@ahmaddeedatibrahim6631 Bach on Organ: That sounds more original cause he was an Organist after all
@@RockStarOscarStern634 I tried with organ sound, but it's too... noisy. 😅😅😅
@@ahmaddeedatibrahim6631 Actually it's not that noisy if you adjust the volume first before you're ready to play it, and besides it was originally written for Organ. After all JS Bach was an Organist.
Bach on Organ: Even more original cause he was an Organist after all
Bravo, thanks and best wishes, dear young chap! 🙏👏 🎶
This piece, BWV 775, of Bach makes me feel mysterious and magical. That's nice and interesting 🙏🏼 👍🏼
Bach. The original shredder.
Wonderful!!!!!
Amazingly awesome
Amazing!
Nothing makes my heart go pitty pat like a well played harpsichord.
Same! 👌🌺🙏
brilliant!
He's great (Period)
美しい! そして10歳とは、、、。将来が楽しみです。
I studyed (Bach-Invention No.4) Last week.
Superb
Bravo!
bravissimo....!!!
Super
This was the first invention my teacher had me tackle years ago. I did not appreciate it at the time as I just wanted to move on to the organ but now Iove these pieces. Kanji has matured into a wonderful young musician I wonder what happened to David and the rest? They are all superb.
Sorry for the ignorance, but this is a harpsichord?
Thanks in advance for the one who replies.
MaruZero まるゼロ yep :)
Thanks! such a beautiful sound..
Yes a harpsichord that is! A plucked instrument from the which the piano stems! I'd say it's the modern pianos grand dad😄
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎵🎹🎵🎹🎵🎹🎵🎵🎹🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 wonderful
That is insane!
This is amazing, not insane!
자주쳣엇는데 ㅋㅋ 추억이네~
여기도 한국인~ 안녕하세요
dude he's 10 wha-

I too
fantastically played, Im having a serious challenge with the left hand trill, help anyone?
What fingering are you using? It’s a measured trill. Are you playing the trill as 32nd notes (four to the beat) or eight to the beat? I would suggest using 121212, four to the beat, and starting slow. Gradually build speed, then when you feel ready, start playing eight to the beat.
😍
How was this Harpspicord tuned ?
tuned to 415Hz rather than 440Hz to give it a Baroque sound
I applauded...
alone
in C# minor actually..
I thought thus was in C# minor for awhile myself. But upon looking at what keys he is pushing, he is in fact playing it in Dflat minor. When Bach was alive, there was no specific standard for how instruments were tuned. So what we would call an A today would often be an A# or Aflat on other instruments. In the case of the harpsichord, they were often tuned to be a half step lower then what we would consider "in tune". Basically, this is just a super long winded way of saying "Yes it sounds like C# minor, but he's actually playing in the original Dflat minor."
I can play this song
0:49
Por qué no lo aplauden? Tacaños. Alto capo el pibe, un crack
Because he's probably playing a set of pieces and the applause goes at the end.
That kid: prb 5, can play whole song, transposed
Me: 15, can only play in d minor, 2x slower tempo
Not transposed, baroque tuning
@@winter2400 Did i stutter?
@@Noob-ns9vt Well... Did I?
0:45, the boy behind plays also ...
Aren't you a little young to play the harpsichord
yes...yes i am
You can never be too young to start anything 😉
@@MarcelloACG it’s a quote from a show
I see. Ling Ling of the harpsichord
Look at all the young ling ling wannabes
Ling does not need a harpsichord to play the harpsichord. He transcends all
This isnt in d minor
Jay Preis are the scales different between the piano and a harpsichord?
Jay Preis aight thanks m8
yes it's d flat minor
@@GibsonMargareeta Was it transposed from D minor? IIRC, the piece was originally written in D minor, not D-flat minor.
@@reginaldbraithwaite5201 should be the harpischord tuning
Japanischen und oder Chinesische Dressuren.?
I'ts in Db minor
Its Baroque tuning
@@Leon-un5kz still sounds like Db
His tempo changes are strange. Destroys the performance for me.
It's a harpsichord bro.
@@PORIO171 That means...?
On the one hand, Baroque music should maintain a very strict beat; on the other hand, the slight rubato keeps it from sounding mechanical, since there is no dynamic range to a harpsichord with which to give it shape.
Forceful!!
J'avoue ne pas comprendre comment on peut arriver devant un publique avec les yeux rivés sur une partition. Ils ne mémorisent pas la pièce ..?
Mais pourquoi? Ce n'est pas important.
I agree. If you can play this piece AT ALL, you should have it memorized by all the time you have committed to learning it
@@caesarsneezer6992why?
I hate Bach, I don’t know why I’m here… but I am so 🤷♂️
I hate bach too
I know he's just a kid, but i can't feel any emotion in this interpretation.
I don’t really think that this Bach invention is supposed to have emotion. Maybe the 1st one is suppose to, but especially since this is in minor, I don’t really think it’s supposed to be emotional and make you have feelings.
Well I can, so there
@@arg2smooth bro you good
Sounds too generic to me, too
The piano sound is terrible! It’s fowl I never wanna hear that sound again
You're stupid
Its a harpsichord...
Are you stupid?! This is not even a piano, it’s a harpsichord you idiot!
It was a joke. I can't believe they thought this was a piano.
I do not like his approach on the baroque style rubato.
