- In this video I provide some feedback from our visit to Washington DC and some information about the newly established Afrikaner Foundation.
Great work Ernst. I am a white English speaking South Africa but grew up in an Afrikaans community and have watched over the years the change in consciousness of Afrikaners because they embraced conservative ideologies. I have supported Afriforum on a monthly basis for many years. Although we speak different languages, we have to see past that and embrace similar values.
Remember to remind the world that the Afrikaners is a nation under God ...we serve God first of all ....❤
Nonsense. The Afrikaans culture has been the leading force in homosexuality, racism and theft on our continent. The Afrikaans people who brought God's word to Africa have died, and their children took sides with the devil and subjugated God's children in Africa.

I am not Afrikaner, but I have observed the Afrikaners for decades since childhood, through out the the Apartheid years to the days I call freedom days. The attitude of all white South Africans did a 180 degree turn. Having lived in America for years, I have advantage of watching both communities. The White Southern are very humane, in many ways they have the embodiment of "ubuntu", just humane and welcoming just like Africans. To be honest, some African Americans, who travel to South Africa, some who have migrated to SA have seen it as well. They all see white South Africa are great humane beings. Which is the opposite of half of white Americans. This observation was reinforced to me just last week when the President of South Africa surprised many people when he appointed Dr. Pieter Groenewald as Minister. One fellow South African commented that's "respect". He is a respected man. Just a point of caution, take advise from the Conservatives in America with a wheel burrow of salt. Most of them are right from the school of white superiority. Anywhere good luck in your great work.
True and this 8s why I warn Ernst to not build a new Apartheid regime or generation that excludes whites from main stream mutiratial schools and systems. You are setting your people up for new trouble 8f you go down this path. Rather stand for your language to be taught in all schools (not exclusively but in the language subjects. Most of the terminology of Academic studies in Science, Technology and Humanities are anyway in English. I respect the effort of Solidarity as a Exclusive White Afrikaner Labour Related Union, but they are going to cause the same problems than in the Apartheid regime. 😮
Most of us do not align with the "progressive " leftist side of USA either... We have more in common with the conservatives... We are our own people and will not fully copy anyone!!! Just like Orania they support no political party home or abroad, creating our own paths is important as our situation is unique to others...

The nursing profession in SA's public hospitals was world class and possibly the very best worldwide. I should know: both my mother and sister were testament to this great PROFESSION which sadly exists no more. Both public and private healthcare in SA is in need of serious LIFE SUPPORT.

Yes, please include the English speaking South Africans who have served this country. I am born Afrikaans but married an SA English man who is fluent in Afrikaans and very proud to be part of our family. As a previous person commented, please include them. He grew up in Pretoria and has studied at numerous universities. I think its time to include them. He has spent his whole life in SA.
Unfortunately they will not, the anger runs deep, I was in 1 SSB SADF with many English guys, served our country with honor, only to hear from people we are still not accepted....
@@donovan3788- It appears, we are still not relevant either. During the previous government, the English speakers were never relevant, and were excluded from government jobs, or if you did manage get a government job, your chances of promotion were almost nil. Yet, the English speakers were conscripted to the army, so they were good enough, to protect the country, but never good enough, to be relevant to hold senior government positions, in my opinion.
You get idiots in any nation. As a young engineer I often experienced a superiority complex amongst english speaking engineers - because Afrikaners are less than them in their minds. I regard English speaking South Africans very highly, just as I do any other South African not actively going after my culture. We share much. But English speaking South Africans don’t face schools in their neighbourhood being changed to other languages. They don’t face universities suffering the same fate. They do suffer the same challenges in all other spheres of life. So there is no doubt that English speaking South Africans will benefit from the efforts by bodies like this. I’m married to an English speaking South African and I attend the Anglican Church. There are quite a few Afrikaans families there also. So your generalisation is unfortunate I think. We all know the army was straight Afrikaans.. if you wanted to run a risky operation you did it in an English month because the senior officers didn’t read English comms, they just signed them…

The Afrikaaner Foundation sounds like a great opportunity to reach out to the U.S., and exchange information. I think the U.S. is facing many similar challenges. Elon Musk might be a good person to reach out to. He can get messages and information out globally. His Starlink is circling around Africa, maybe he would be open to sponsoring your organization. Your reports are always interesting, and you are doing important work.

My husband once phoned you, and you informed him that you only dealt with Afrikaaners. We have lived in Vanderkloof and he was in the grens oorlog at the age of 18 with many English speaking South Africans. He lost a great number of his friends. Did you serve in the border war? He was asked if he would assist in teaching in Orania as he is a professor and all his studies were part time. He is fluent in Afrikaans. Is he not good enough to be your neighbor? Will the Afrikaner and English speaking SA ever stand together in this country? He did not fight in the boer war. He is fluent in Afrikaans even better than I am. I was born Afrikaans.
I had almost the same issue with solidarireit. They run a specific narative. Solidarireit used to be my union until, I was framed for calling a guy a baboon, they blatantly refused to defend me. I lost my job and is til today banned from this specific industry group. Saying: If you are to big for the small guy you will surely be to small for the big guy.

I've been asking this question quite a lot and been ignored. I am not British. Both maternal and paternal families are Boer. My grandpa married an Irish lady, and for that, his family disowned him. My father and his siblings were called the 'soutie'(family surname). Both parent's familes fought the British and were incarcerated in the Pietersburg concentration camp. My oupa grotjie was a bittereinder, so go figure. To this day, I'm called a soutie, rooinek and other derogatory terms. So, I pay tax to support my oppressor and now donate to my discriminator. I am proud to be Boer and draw courage from visiting the voortrekker monument and the history passed down from my parents. Perhaps we should start our own organisation. 😢

I have read some of the comments and would like to suggest that the word "Afrikaner" INCLUDES both Afrikaans and English speaking AFRIKANERS. We are the ancesters of Europeans who arrived in South Africa since 1652 . Afrikaners are a group of people who subscribe to the same values (which are based on the Word of God). It is clear that the cultural devide between African people and everybody else calling themselves South African, is an insurmountable obstacle and hinderance to form a unified nation. The rift runs deep and animosity prevails. There will always be traces of antagonism towards the needs of minority groups for self-determination, which means interference in all projects. At least this keeps us busy and hopeful. Sad thing is that the Afrikaners have to look for support overseas.
It is true that language is a very strong cultural binder, but great respect for our English speaking cousins- partly Irish extraction myself.

So where does all this leave the white South African who suffer alongside the Afrikaner. Many speak English but are Boer descendants. Is this another discrimination against them? As a 65 year old Boer descendant female who still remembers being discriminated because our household spoke English, in SA. This message has the same feeling. The most discriminated people in SA have been the white English speaking South African.
Poor victim, why not start your own movement? And no, your family abandoned the Afrikaans language for the English language, same for culture and norms, as such you alienated yourself. You're not entitled to inclusion, you include yourself through actions and choices that you make. Boer people didn't invade England, burn down most of the farms, kill half of the children under the age of 15 in concentration camps, and after all that was done Boer people didn't force English people to work in Boer mines and factories. You are ignorant of history, you are ignorant in general.

What will the Afrikaner citizen benefit from this Afrikaner Foundation. I have been a member of Solidariteit for 20 years and did not seen poor afrikaner people benefit from our additional payments beside our monthly subscription fee

Im worried that anything we build and invest in south Africa is too precarious, and can easybe destroyed or stolen from us by a government which might become even more extreme. Or even worse, we might face a potential genocide - and the world wont care because we're white.
Why invest right in such a potentially hostile place? I love my culture, but i dont even feel its safe to raise my fanily in South Africa.

That's very true Monaliza, and this is the irony of this individual Ernst Roets. Because there are Russian politicians that visit the Russia Volunteer memorials every year, there are people in Russia who are advocating for Afrikaners and not just financial interests like in the "Western World", including giving us land and easier methods of immigration. But for some reason they want to cosy up to the USA, England, the people who have historically betrayed us.

I've noticed that there are quite a few English people who express their desire to be integrated in the Afrikaans community. Some are quite scathing in their criticism about the 'unwillingness' of Afrikaners to accept them fully. I cannot help to notice that all those comments were written in the English language. From own experience I know that quite a large number of English people cannot speak and write the Afrikaans language despite the fact that they have been living in this country for life or at least many years. They don't bother to learn the language but instead demanded that everything must be communicated in the English language where Afrikaans initiatives have been launched and they want to take part.
Please note that people have so much more respect for people who are fluent in your own language and especially when you realise effort has been made to achieve it. We as Afrikaners are all fluent in your language - we are all bilingual. Why don't you extend the same courtesy towards us? If you really want to be an Afrikaner learn our language as a starting point.
We have many things in common but if you don't want to learn our language it leaves a bad taste.
It's shocking to see how the English people born in this country get frowned upon. My family is Afrikaans and my husband is more fluent than me. What a sad day it is to see that the anger they display towards us is still going on but we are meant to stand united. It's time they get over this anger. I was once called a rooi neck and told they never thought they would be friends with one. My husband had to sort them out and the best is they did not serve this country but my husband did. Whst a nerve and all my family is Afrikaans and struggle to speak English. If the time comes where we should stand together, what happens then. We are prepared to. Why can't they? Are we meant to stand on our own or united?
Power always seeks to opress the people it rules over. The sad part is that the power comes from the people and they give it to those ruling over them. Give the power to Yahwe because his rule is with love.
