    Fun fact is that apart from the staple Nivi style practiced in Tamilnadu nowadays, historically Men AND women of higher castes and classes were portrayed wearing this style, case in point, every painting in every ancient temples in the South. This style was favoured by royals and court dancers equally, as well as the common folk were depicted wearing this style. Women used a full length saree and men incorporated the veshti and angavastram, similar to modern day bharatnatyam costume. As times progressed, this style has had strong association to bharatnatyam rather than a regular style due to Victorian views degrading Indian fashion. I hope that this style becomes mainstream once more

    Wowww you are truly amazing and the different ways you drape us stunning. One suggestion try using pegs while pleating before you pin it up for the final. That way you won't end up making holes in your beautiful sarees. Also love your underskirts. Is it available in Mumbai. God bless you

    • @TiaBhuva
      @TiaBhuva  Před 3 lety +3

      I've tried using pegs/binder clips and just find that safety pins are easier :) But totally agree, if you can get away with not using safety pins during pleating, that would definitely be better!
