My suggestion to you will be learn because you want to. Not for making videos. First learn perfectly don't rush to show the others. Also these is a classic dance form ( don't destroy it performing with the bollywood songs which doesn't even meant for Classical dance)

As mentioned in the video. You can use any fabric and wear it this way.
Although cotton sarees are little stiff you might have to wash it and make it soft before wearing it.
Silk would do. Even Cotton silk will work.

Not atall disrespectfull or offended in fact it's a valid and practical question. Yes it becomes difficult to go to the wash room in this Costume . You will have to untie the whole saree. There is no other option.
Or just make sure you use the washroom just before you get ready so you are good yo go for 2/3 hours at least. :)
Yes the performer struggle is real :)
