      Nobody stole anything from him, Hilary was elected by Democrats, she won more primaries than he did that's how it works. You can complain and moan all you want but we've got President Trump now and it's in part because people like you would rather indulge in conspiracy than get over your hatred of Hilary and elect a qualified President. I would've preferred Bernie Sanders myself but to be honest I didn't really mind that he lost. You know why? Republican house, Republican Senate Bernie wasn't going to get single payer passed anymore than any other of his policies. Hilary Clinton was just a veto pen to guard against those hacks but now those hacks have what they want in a hard right President so good job guys.

      He is from the same class as Hillary Clinton only a bit better. The wife of a man like that can't be a lot far away and even if she is really a progressive, the influences will drag her down. Warren sold out for Hillary when she could've supported Bernie.

She does not care about you all she cares about is the people that own her. Trump did not take money from PACS and did not take money from big banks, wall street and insurance companies. He is a political outsider with little ties to Washington. Basically he can't be bought like Sanders can't be bought.

      Lol. Drinkin' the ol' mainstream news Kool-Aid, huh? There's no way. (By the way. I'd like to mention that I have degrees in economics, and petroleum engineering. So, I'd like to think that I have a pretty damn good grasp on what the man is saying.) Especially when you study his plan from top, to bottom. Leading economists from institutions, such as M.I.T., Yale, and Harvard, are behind his plan 100%.
      And, if I may ask, do you REALLY, TRULY know what a democratic socialist is? Some of our best presidents were democratic socialists. I have a sneaking suspicion that you just may be repeating what you've heard from the "bought n' paid for pundits" in the mainstream press. DO SOME REAL RESEARCH. And, afterwards, if you've any common sense, you'd agree wholeheartedly with his plan, and approach towards this clusterfuck of a country.

I can't allow the governement to take 5000$ worth of taxes from me, but pay for 50000$ of my education/medical care due to all other and richer american taxes. Oh wait..... i guess probably 80% (totally made up number) of the american population would become richer, even though they have, in a sens, less tangible money.

In some states, polling locations were moved to areas people could not get to via public transportation and were 'consolidated' to minimal polling places, like 3, for millions. Some states chose to purge their voter lists of many voters, not just democrats but also republicans.

      he couldn't beat hillary.... under a system where independents were suppressed in order to give hillary the nomination, where the dnc actively colluded with the press to hand her the nomination, where the mainstream media didnt cover him and instead covered everything trump had to say for ratings, even though bernie was drawing crowds of 30,000 well over a year ago unlike drumpf, where he won the college students in greater numbers than obama ever did... a recent poll showed bernie wouldve beaten trump by 12 points in a general election - numbers hillary has never come close to getting on trump at anytime! all you have to do is look at the states hillary lost the election over - pennsylvania, michigan, wisconsin, florida, etc. she lost by less than 1.5% in each and gary johnson and jill stein got 5-6% combined in each ...and while 3 out of 10 trump voters said they voted for trump just because it was hillary against him... bernie wouldve destroyed trump and everyone who doesn't admit it is too afraid to admit they were wrong and apparently only care about polls if it favors them - no poll had that big of a consensus for any candidate than a bernie vs trump had for well over a year now. The last time that happened in a general election the electoral college was swept in 48/50 states..Fact is if the dems dont learn from this and change the same thing will happen again. Let's start with who bernie, reid, warren all think should be the democratic nominee in Keith Ellison to make sure this DNC disaster won't ever happen again.

He also had an agreement from the start to not attack Hillary and in effect give her the nomination. He was controlled opposition and was used to suck dumbasses like yourself from people like Trump and other candidates then he throws in the towel and all you people have been cuddled and controlled and Hillary got the nomination. Too bad she couldn't defeat Trump because of how popular he was, she even stole 5 states from him through voter fraud. But she had no chance, Trump is the guy who was genuine from the beginning, that people don't see that is something I wish you would explain to me.

What has made America Great is that we are a hybrid government based on democracy with hints of socialism(ie, social security, medicare, etc.), communism (ie, federal lands, parks, eminent domain, etc.) and a strong undercurrent of capitalism. For your information, Bernie Sanders isn't a Communist. He is more of a Democratic Socialist. The other thing I don't understand is the majority of people that are against social programs are Christian. Socialism is at the very core of what Jesus stood for. Well its not funny, its natural. Dems lost so they will rethink their decisions. If Hillary won nobody would be rethinking saying "hmm maybe we should have nominated Bernie" At the time I honestly thought Hillary was a better candidate also due to her more pragmatic beliefs and proven competency to get things done. The one massively overlooked issue, in hindsight, is she does not connect to people enough to have them rally behind her. Her campaign ended up banking completely on people rallying against trump which wasnt enough. I truly believe Clinton would have done a great job, but when electing a candidate thats only half of the battle. You also have to consider who will appeal to the people you need to appeal to to win votes
      Bernie scared voters cause of his socialism tag. that scares americans and he might have lost ot trump also because of that, we'll never know

      @SpeedyStone97 Před 7 lety +10

      The American people didn't reject him, get it right, the DNC elites and establishment did. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Donna Brazile, and Cheryl Mills are some of those responsible. Don't blame the American people, they made their choice clear, and that choice wasn't Bernie. Then at that point the American people made their next choice, which was Trump over Hillary. You wonder, with the popularity and following of Bernie Sanders, how that would've played out against a Trump, and this is coming from an independent who voted Trump just a week ago. I think you should be turning around and focusing on the people who controlled the DNC in the primaries the way they did instead of the American people. In this video, Bernie spoke of the "autopsy" of the republican party 4 years ago, and it's true, but now I think it's time the democrats purge the corruption from your ranks. If you want more people voting Democrat, you have to give reason to people to join your cause other than free school, free healthcare, more minimum wage, and not a policy in sight meant to bring in enough money to cover these grandiose policies, there is not enough money that can be taken from the 1% to even cover just one of these proposals. I can only imagine what our National Debt would've been after only 4 years of Bernie, if he got the ideas passes that he wanted. I respect Bernie very much so, but his visions and aspirations would only have thrown America into the greatest fiscal depression that we had ever experienced.

      Bernie has a past that is nothing like Clinton's. He is a man of the people unlike Clinton who was in the pockets of Wall Street and the Corporate lobby of her corporate overlords/Liberal Media who pushed completely for her. She also had many other things going against her that Trump used so well for the Conservative hate machine to push against. This is completely and absolutely on Hillary and the corrupt DNC this is absolutely irrefutable. They outspent Trump something like 10 to 1 and still lost, what a spit in the face for you to say that this is not on Clinton and the DNC. That is a trash sentiment and i challenge you to reevaluate your opinions. The DNC will need to fundamentally change after this defeat.
      If Hillary was the people's choice than why did she need the backing of Wall Street to spend countless amounts of money for her (vs. Bernie who raised most all of his money from the people) and the irrefutable proof that the DNC through complete and utter favoritism ruined Bernie's chance at taking the nomination.
      Bernie would have absolutely wiped the floor with Trump. He would have gone straight after the issues that are important to the world and would have ignored the personal attacks. His history is of complete honesty and he is the driving force for change in our capitalist culture. You sound so arrogant when you say that now Bernie needs to show that his revolution is more than a campaign speech. Bernie's entire life has been dedicated to what he says it is absolutely not just a campaign slogan and you would realize that if you looked at the mans history in social justice and his entire political career.

      He didn't roll over, he stood his ground until the nomination was actually decided. Pushing too much past that would hurt his cause and his ability to help/change things in the long run. Splitting the party vote would've doomed Hillary outright instead of giving his party a chance (and it was close).
      We can change the way we vote though; there are systems where you can vote for third parties without essentially giving a vote to the party you least like. That should be a major political goal moving forward.

      The masses must be organized into action, on the streets, because only there will they attain the power necessary to match the economic and political power of the capitalists and their politicians. The streets are where the masses wage class war, and the streets are where they must win.

      +milan xoxoxo He only did nothing because the Republican Congress wouldn't let him. I personally wouldn't vote for Michelle because she hasn't held any public office before, and would be almost as inexperienced as Trump.

    Vote in the 2018 Mid-Terms. Vote to take back the Senate, State Governorships and State Legislatures. In order to win we have to take back the State Houses from Republicans ahead of the 2020 Census, so we can undo the gerrymandering they've done which make it nearly impossible to regain the House of Representatives. #TakeBackTheStates

    Why are people so extremely ageist? Bernie will be 79 in 2020, current President-Elect will be 74. I love young, dynamic candidates, I am young but Bernie has the best ideas, period! If he can prove his health in 2020 (which he did in 2016), than he is the BEST candidate for 2020 - end of fucking discussion!

    • @hughjorgan7211
      @hughjorgan7211 Před 7 lety

      I have an open mind and agree the best candidate should win (hence, Trump) but I don't think its ageist to ask how an 80 year old (Bernie in Nov, 2020) could be an effective President. I think many can use their own examples of 80 year-olds they know for key reasoning.

    • @hughjorgan7211
      @hughjorgan7211 Před 7 lety

      Open The Mind Kudos to your grandma, that's truly amazing, and rare. My point was clear... but I'll add to it by saying that It's exceedingly rare to see 80 year olds with all their physical health and faculties. For example, every single one I know (including in my family) can no longer get a drivers license. And that's the least of their concerns. Mine is not a popular opinion...and maybe Bernie's just like your Grandma. (as your original comment seems to imply). I'm just making a logical counter-point.

    • @openthemind1244
      @openthemind1244 Před 7 lety +1

      hugh jorgan and you make a good one but would you agree that if his health records prove he's healthy, would that calm your issues/fears? (non partisan question, whether you're left or right politically)

      @openthemind1244 Před 7 lety

      hugh jorgan Thank you for the complement to my g-ma. Maybe b/c I'm black, we seem to age much better than white people. Noting racist at all, but every 70-80 year old in my family has all their marbles
