    Understanding Obstructions:
Obstructions refer to physical objects or environmental factors that obstruct the line-of-sight between the Starlink dish and the satellite constellation. Common obstructions include trees, buildings, mountains, and other structures. These obstructions can block or weaken the signals transmitted between the dish and the satellites, resulting in reduced performance or service interruptions.

If you are getting those sort of obstructions it will interfere with live streaming and video conferencing. Should not affect normal streaming though. Probably best to find a better position.

Quick question, does a window count as an obstruction?

Yes and no… glass can cause interference with the satellite signal especially during the rain. I would avoid this.

@@clickdatawifiThat's unfortunate but good to know. Thanks.

two meters off these two tree tops can't possibly make such a huge difference. the simple pass/fail is too hard a measure.

It’s not about a “pass/fail” it’s about “obstructions” which can be determined by height and monitoring the statistics graph to eliminate any drop outs.
