Marvel Select Spectacular Spider-Man Torso Articulation Fix/Modification

Thank you my man, It's my second Marvel Select Spidey and overall second Spidey action figure.
I was very happy right after I took him out of the box.
And yeah, this torso movement was the only thing that was very frustrating like, c'mon, it's Spidey, he needs to crouch!
But then here you are with this video that helped me remove this imperfection.

I did this to the torso and the head and now the articulation is perfect. I used a retractable blade but I’m sure any old kitchen knife would work just as well because the plastic is very soft and flexible. As long as your careful it’s a very easy process.

Hi, great video. I am a novice customizer. You are amazing...PUN INTENDED!
What I do with selects is I raise the ball joint. I take the figure, pull it apart using blow dryer or hot water, and put plastic wrap in the hole where the ball goes into. It has the same effect as you cutting the plastic. Then put the upper torso back into the lower torso. The upper torso is lengthen a tad but it works well with this figure since it has long legs.
No math formula for the plastic wrap. Just shove it into the ball joint hole and guesstimate. I hope that all made sense.

It worked for Venom, Juggs, and Spidey and a couple of more figs I have who have the diaphragm joint.

I don't think so. You might break those straps trying to take the torso apart and I think it might be a different peg anyway.

How long did you do the boil and pop for?

I didn't boil water at all. Just run him under some hot water from the faucet for a couple of minutes and he should be good to go. If it gives you to much trouble don't force it, it shouldn't be to hard though.
