Ty for sharing your knowledge! U taught me a lot! I got a question can u help me? Having a draw length of 73 cm and 18 cm of active band length (4,5 elongation factor) not counting 2,5 cm for frame and pouch tie, is a 170 mm taper useless (too short) for me?
For a 4.5x's elongation it would be too short but it would be closer to a 5x's elongation which would be fine.

That would depend on your draw length and the ammo you are using.
Either you’re using a dull blade or you’re pushing way too hard.
No, the thickness of the taper template will not allow the blade to make contact if not holding it at a 90 from the template. This is due to the shape of the cutter and not the blade. Some roller cutters will not work at all because of the thickness of the template. Or worse, will only work with thin latex. Then you have a sheet of thicker latex cut halfway thru. I have a few that will not work with a 4mm thick template.
