In this video, the mouse is used as the input value, but using various sensors will be useful when creating interactive effects.

Very nice tut! but how to make the line persist and not cancel over time? and how to make the curves smoother with less segments? Thanks!

Nice! Do you suppose there is a way to click and drag an image and have it 'draw' almost like a brush?

      thank you for your comment!
      It's a simple idea.
      1. Add noise-top and composite-top.
      2. connect out-top(it's already exist) and noise-top to composite-top.

Super nice! Thank you for the upload! I've been trying to do this with the tabletCHOP instead of mouse, which works quite good, but do you have any suggestions on how to make the line stop when i remove the cursor? I wanna be able to draw stuff and maybe even use the penpressure for the thickness of the line.

      Thank you for your comment.
I'm sorry I can't see it because I don't have a tablet, but what's the reaction when you remove the cursor?
Regarding the thickness of the line, you can change the thickness with radius by setting the output type of limitSOP to primitive circle at Each Point, but it seems not to be a very good method. sorry...

@@kaihonishimura2772 Thank you for your reply. No worries. I messed around with it a bit and achieved another interesting result by referencing the pressure of the tablet to forces effecting particles.

Did you ever revisit this? I'm trying to use this method to capture guest signatures and then redraw them later as they wrote it. Stuck on a way to stop the line so you can simulate lifting your pen. I'm just using a mouse rn, trying to figure out a way to "turn on/off" the line using a mouse click or something, but no dice. I imagine using an ipad + stylus eventually.
