Marcos Volvo 1800 GT Corgi No. 324. Renovation. Diecast model toy.

Meetoy in 1966 produced the Marcos 1800 GT model. By 1969, when production ended in 1969, 848,000 units were sold. You can turn on subtitles in your language with the action commentary in the video. The two-seater sports car had an engine from the Volvo 1800. The model had various numbering stuck on it. For the first two years, it was produced in white, and then blue. My copy had broken tires and had been repainted by the previous owner. I have cast the tires in a mold made of molding silicone. Colored polyurethane is an excellent substitute for rubber for making tires. I also did the numbering of this model and decal stripes in the colors dedicated by the manufacturer. To complete the whole, I made a cardboard box with a weight of 250 and printed it in a digital printing house. Just done one myself but sprayed it silver to change it up a bit; I did try white but couldn't achieve the lovely shine you have managed. The way the bonnet slightly springs up is annoying, it seems to be a feature of the casting.

Of course, you are right . the casting was very inaccurate. it always gets a gloss painting two coats of colorless car paint with a hardener
