I think a neat interpretation of Regigigas moving continents is that while yes it has insane strength, it's other strength could be gaining the support of other pokemon and the world around it too - it could move continents because it could rally the support of other pokemon to do it with it
The other pokemon could also be regigigas. That way shinies can exist too. A single regigigas can help stop a glacier but a large group can move continents

No ancient worldshaping magic, no mystical power that granted you a cult following, no immense psionic power born of the progenitor of genetics, no, all this legendary has is sheer, massively powerful superhuman strength and the ability to construct living golems. that base attack is 160 for a reason, its a shame it takes so much for him to get going and use it.

Still no excuse. Damn near all legendaries are asleep until battled. There was NO reason to nerf one of the coolest Pokémon designs so heavily. At LEAST they could’ve made it 2 turns with only 25% reduce.

I have numerous complaints about this movie. My biggest is “where the hell did Regigigas’ temple show up from?” It wasn’t foreshadowed it was there. It wasn’t stated earlier that Regigigas lives close by to watch over the Shaymin. It just showed up out of the blue to help with the plot.
They are in sinnoh and around the snowpoint area. That's where his temple is in game. Like yes it isn't literally in the same point but don't pretend it's like a plot hole. Pokemon films are basically just kaiju films anyway, it's just some fun with legendary pokemon.
I love how there is just this random ass Regigigas sitting in this random ancient temple that's just kind of... there, with a total of zero explanation. Just like, yeah, there's an OP legendary over there. He's probably our town's guardian deity (hence the temple). Sorry, is this a big deal for you?
