- Another wash you may recognize from my older videos. Located at Love Buggs Car Wash in Sebring, Florida, this wash has been out of business for over a month, while the gas station next door is still operation.
Love Buggs originally opened in 2007. It is one of the few washes in Florida with a Ryko Rocket Conveyor. It is the longest of its kind, with a 135’ wash tunnel. The tunnel includes two sets of Ryko side washers, two top brushes, two sets of tall side wrap around washers, two spinning wheel blasters, two overhead thrust pro dryers, a MCWW Bulldog wheel brush, and a MCWW super shiner tire shiner. Most of the original Ryko equipment remains with the exception of a Sonny’s over under conveyor, Tommy storm shield arch, Sonny’s halo rinse arch, Sonny’s rinse system, and MCWW tire brush/tire shine. This tunnel in its early years also featured the rare Ryko oscillating high pressure arch before the triple foam application.
The Ryko Rocket Conveyor seized production in 2015, and NCS no longer supports the Rocket Conveyor, meaning spare parts are very limited and hard to acquire. Over the years, as parts became more unavailable, several components of this tunnel were decommissioned. Due to a bad motor, the first top brush was turned off completely, while the second top brush suffered a pneumatic failure and was brought down, losing it’s retract capability. The motor and hub assembly’s on the first set of wrap arounds were completely removed. During its last few years of operation, only the second set of wrap arounds and the second top brush were running. It should be noted that both sets of wraps around became stationary in their later years. The original Ryko oscillating high pressure arch features the same manifold design found on the Select-A-Wash. The arch was turned off as it aged due to manifold failures.
Much like the abandoned Select-A-Wash, this wash also suffered from negligence and lack of overall maintenance. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
i always hear people asking, "who's the best equipment company?" when they really should be asking, "whos' the best local distributor?"
I like this car wash a lot. I hope they do not tear it down or get rid of the brushes. If they do, then this is the end of my life without them if the brushes get ripped out and replaced.
I remember finding a Circle K gas station somewhere in Florida that featured a Ryko VT2000/Rocket tunnel, but it was replaced with a Mark VII Choice or SoftWash XT. The building housing the former VT/rocket tunnel wasn't demolished, so it was a single IBA with a lot of unnecessary unused space. I think the offboard Mark VII dryers were even at the exit of the building which made them about 20 feet away from the main gantry.
Sadly, there’s only a handful of Rocket/VT2000s systems left operating in the state and there are some parts of Florida that haven’t been explored.
Is this in Orlando? I believe I’ve seen it in person. It also has self service bays.
Never got to go through one of these but its very unique with all the ryko equipment and multiple slimline dryers and double thrust pro's.
The fact one of the computers still works is impressive.. Windows 7 too!
Is it for sale 🤔❤️👍
Are you aware as to why this closed?
I assume they will probably demolish this building
Wow what a shame😥 I wonder what will go in it's place
Did other people film this before? It looks familiar for the layout, but i'm not sure.
I filmed this wash back in 2017. Car Wash Studios also filmed this wash earlier this year.
Yeah! I have a video of this wash from just 8 months ago.
It would be scary if that car wash came on
Nooooo not this one!!!
I know!! I loved this one and it’s not too too far from me.
Is there power
