No matter how many times I’ve seen this drama, I can never get over how well acted and scripted this drama is. Both ruyi’s royal love in the palace and story in yanxi palace are amazing dramas!
They r all good actors and actresses they did a really good job in this film And they all had special talent in show i can't stop watching this movie and i watch Ruyi other films i like her acting shes a good actress
Though I can't stand this A'ruo, I can't help but pity her as well. She didn't realize how dangerous it was to play these games. She's dealing with powerful people who could destroy her and her family with a single word. Sure, she's to blame for her own greed and selfishness. She was jealous of Ruyi because Ruyi was born into nobility and privilege. And she had the emperor's love. A'ruo desired all that for herself, without understanding the consequences. And she didn't realize she was simply a pawn that all of them could dispose of at any given moment.
A'ruo also didn't take into account that her betraying her caring and loyal Mistress would ensure that none of the women in the palace would consider her trustworthy or deserving of respect. It reminds me of a scene from the show Burn Notice where the main character talks about why it's so easy for a team of criminals to mistrust/turn on one another. "Kill with a man, he knows you're a killer. Steal with one, he knows you're a thief."
As much as she reminds me of a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum over not getting her way as easily as she wanted, I do pity her for those reasons. Seems to be a naive country girl who was too enamored with palace life to realize it's a gilded cage until she was stuck in said gilded cage
Lying to the Emperor is also a crime. It's interesting that she did ask him to save her family, she couldn't have thought she'd be able to keep this up or get away with it forever.
Yes, and the Emperor in the meanwhile was already working to smoke out the truth from her with the fake promotions, and pretending to 'favor' her as well. In this one case, I think he was very smart how he eventually got her arrested. She thought her good treatment would go on forever, like you said.
With his guards standing around and watching? No, he wasn't. She also knows the painful death that she and her entire family would suffer. I highly doubt they were allowed to have access to knives or swords.

一般來說，古裝劇都是使用假髮，或是假的髮髻簪上，但周迅在這部劇是用她自己的頭髮，請專門的老師真的以當時的梳頭方式做造型，所以可以看到如懿不像一般清宮劇妃子後面都會多一個尾巴，其實清朝根本沒有髮型為有一個把在後頭。
如懿的造型都跟其他人格格不入，不管髮型還是服裝，龍華(脖子上的白圍巾)的戴法跟別人不一樣，很出戲。
應該參照古畫臨摹，請不要以現代審美觀來批判
