Snuff is one of my favourite songs from slipknot and it's dark slow and intense
Hell yeah! Was about to say the same thing. I have never came across a slipknot song and said oh that’s more stone sour. Maybe because people are dumb and they don’t know Corey is in both bands.
Snuff is insane as is Vermillion (both parts)
Snuff is one of their greatest songs, I still get chills when ever I listen to it, even today

It's not an opinion. That's a fact, bro. An opinion is something that is subjective between two different people. What you like is specific to you. So it's not an opinion, and it's not subjective. What you like is going to be true to you one hundred percent of the time. Honestly, I'm in my fields right now. And I needed to listen to the wicked.

Honestly though, it does fit the vibe of Stone Sour. Sometimes, I’ll be listening to a bunch of my favorite Slipknot songs and end on Snuff, then go right into listening to Stone Sour songs. It’s like the perfectly way to transition from one to the other.
Corey's my favorite male vocalist. I get goosebumps Everytime he goes from those soft melodic vocals to that growl leading into harder vocals. So I'm biased i guess, since I love everything with Corey's vocals (and lyrics). I love Slipknot's entire catalog, Stone Sour's entire catalog - it all depends on my mood: both bands helped me through an extremely dark period in my life, so I refuse to choose between them.

I can't stand when people try to "categorize" a band's music, a ballad is a ballad, and a ballad Can still kick some fkn ass and move someone more than other songs at times. There is a time for everything.
As a Singer/Songwriter working on 2 or 3 projects, all very different from each other, I can write a ballad but throw it in on an EP or LP that has Mosh Appeal & Feel to it, or something ya might blast into your headset at a gym.
That is the Joy and Rewarding part of writing, not only is it emotion and life spilled onto paper, then expressed through sound/music, but there is a song everyone can relate to and feel. A Loyal Fan is a Loyal Fan, doesn't change because there's a change up in a certain song aside from other songs, granted we all are fans more over one song or another, but ya gotta dig the diversity, it's so stale having every song sound the same.
I dig the hell outta Stone Sour and Slipknot and have total Respect for Corey and the bands on all accounts and efforts, and it's all been Kickass!

Snuff is a slipknot song. A lot.
Vermilion Parts 1 & 2 are both darker, emotional, and more intense than Snuff.
Don’t get me wrong Snuff is a great song. But it sticks out like a sore thumb on Slipknot’s most technical and groove metal sounding album All Hope Is Gone. Underrated album btw.
The whole album is disjointed. I mean that in a good way.
I can't picture stone sour doing snuff and the song having the same level of emotion that it had. I feel like stone sour would've turned snuff basically into something like hesitate
