I was just recommended the original and I scrubbed the channel and found this! as a companion piece this is so incredible. the original was horrifying, confusing, and abstract masterpiece. and now, after watching this, I see it as incredibly human. the 16yr old camera footage feels like an odd relic, but placed under this ai filter, it's as if the machine is scrubbing that memory. Seeing the freeze frames move made me squirm, every held frame was constantly distorting. I'm not original in saying "I don't like AI art" that's a statement I'll never retract. This is human art.

From what I gather, the story goes something like this: The foam man is not happy with his life, so he carves out a new version of himself in the shape of a tombstone to symbolize the death of his previous self. His new self is much happier with his life, but parts of his old self still linger around him, he then notices the old parts of himself and indulges in them, essentially watering the thoughts. as time passes, he adopts those thoughts into his new self, letting his old self slowly take over. Eventually the parts of his old self rips his new self apart, and in that moment the foam man realizes that he can only be himself and comes to accept who he is.
This is cursed, it has a whole weird new vibe to it. Edit: Just finished the video, this might have been one of the weirdest videos I've ever seen on CZcams. It's super creepy and feels like if a ai had a weird dream. Strange.
