      Maybe is the USB cable, you can try with another USB cable, if the same problem repeats, then you can try with another phone.

      I'm sorry to hear about your broken USB port. If the other USB port beside it is functional, you can try using that one to connect your device to the projector. Alternatively, if you have a USB-C port available, you can use that as well. I hope this helps!

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před rokem

      I don't know what exactly is happening when you try to connect it, but you can try these steps to see if it solves the problem.
      Firstly, make sure that all the settings for the Android Auto app are enabled. It's possible that there may be a setting that needs to be turned on to get the app to work.
      Additionally, it's possible that there may be an issue with the USB cable you are using. You may want to try using a different cable to see if that resolves the issue. I hope these tips help!

    But when you disconnect the usb cable, connection disappear. So,its possible to use navigation without connecting phone with usb cable???

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před 4 měsíci

      Unfortunately, no, you cannot use navigation without connecting your phone via a USB cable for Android Auto. However, there are alternatives available. You can explore using a Wireless Carplay Adapter if you prefer to connect your smartphone wirelessly. This option allows for greater flexibility and convenience while still enabling you to access navigation features in your car.

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před rokem +1

      You need to have Android Auto app installed on your smartphone, other apps don't matter, if you don't have Android Auto app then, unfortunately, it won't work.

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před 6 měsíci +1

      The process for connecting your iPhone is quite similar. Instead of using Android Auto, you'll want to choose CarPlay on your iPhone. Connect your iPhone to your car's infotainment system using a USB cable, and the CarPlay interface should appear on your car's display. If you encounter any issues, make sure your iPhone is running the latest software and that your car's system supports CarPlay.

    How to turn off radio while connecting android auto? I set gmap. It plays for few seconds. Then radio comes in.

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před 3 měsíci

      To prevent the radio from playing while using Android Auto, you can try these steps:
      Open the Android Auto app on your smartphone.
      Go to the settings menu within the Android Auto app.
      Look for the option related to audio or media preferences.
      In the audio preferences, there should be an option to prioritize Android Auto audio over other sources like the radio.
      Enable this option to ensure that Android Auto audio takes precedence when connected.
      If you're still experiencing issues, check your car's audio system settings to see if there are any options to prioritize external audio sources like Android Auto.

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, disabling "Start media automatically" in Android Auto settings might help prevent the radio from playing when connecting your device. Additionally, disabling "Play voice over Bluetooth" in Google Maps settings could further ensure that audio is not interrupted by other sources. Give these adjustments a try to see if they resolve the issue.

    My problem is that the car connects to android auto for a few seconds and then radio plays again

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před rokem +1

      That's normal, the radio continues to work in the background until you turn it off.
      But if the android auto app turns off after turning on the radio, then it could be a problem with the USB cable.

    Didnt help the question was how to use the USB socket to play a flash drive

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před 7 měsíci

      To play a flash drive through the USB socket in your car, follow these steps: Insert the flash drive into the USB port in your car. Access the car's media or entertainment system. Navigate to the source or media input settings. Look for an option that allows you to select USB or External Device. Once you've selected the USB option, you should see the content of your flash drive on the car's display. Navigate through the folders to find and play the desired content. If these steps don't work or if your car has a specific setup, refer to your car's manual for detailed instructions on using the USB port for media playback. I hope this helps!

    Or you could just use your phone

    • @EverydayThings
      @EverydayThings  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Yes, using your phone directly is also an option. However, connecting to Android Auto in your car offers the advantage of a larger screen on your car's display, which can be more convenient and safer for navigation and accessing various apps while driving. Additionally, if you don't have a phone holder in your car, connecting to Android Auto can provide a more secure way to use your smartphone while on the road. Thanks for bringing up this alternative!
