Maybe that's why Sora and Roxas has sick skateboarding skills
"Kinda cool to see this move popping out everywhere" I see what you did there
2 things I wanna add here:
- Rhythm Mixer Combo Finisher is a 2 part. Unless you press the Attack button again, it will not commence.
- When you go into Rhythm Mixer, you can hear a guy say "Here we go!".
Still found weird that Aqua didn't get a water based style.
Right? I always found that weird too
I guess they tried to retcon Spellweaver into being an ice-based style in the later games, also explaining why they changed her finisher to have elements of ice skating in it.
There's seemingly a general imbalance to the level 2 styles. Ven and Terra have 2 unique styles plus one they each share with Aqua, while Aqua has only 1 unique style other than the 2 she shares with the others (not counting Rhythm Mixer).
Ideally, Aqua should have obtained a water style from the Trinity Armor fight instead of Blade Charge and Ven and Terra should have had a shared style.
Then again, maybe it's deliberate. After all, Ven has fewer unique keyblades and shotlocks, Terra has far fewer D-links, and Aqua doesn't really have a unique class of commands like the others (terra has dark and earth, Ven has light plus extra wind. Aqua just gets higher order magic with a couple unique commands.)
â@@elliotlevy8610ven and terra sharing nothing kinda makes sense, given that Terra uses darkness while Ven is essentially incapable of using it. Aqua was also meant to be an in-between of them gameplay wise, with medium speed and magic
Because water is hard to animate. We didn't have actual water magic before KH3 because the technology allowed more advanced VFX
The âdata cubesâ that appear in some of Terraâs Dark Impulse attacks also appear when he summons his Keyblade in cutscenes, which could be interpreted as Terraâs magical stuff just having a unique, more artificial look to it.
Edit: They also appear in a lot of Lingering Willâs attacks in KH2 such as his Ultima Cannon attack and the second attack in his DM.
Terra is data confirmed??????
Any chance you'll ever do breakdowns on the different D-Links?
There's plenty to break down for each of them, I'd think;
>An overview of their commands at each level. Some of them are quite creatively chosen, I think
>Playstyle of each D-Link, as their commands are pretty narrowly tailored towards specific styles (with a few exceptions that are more thematically chosen)
>The abilities attached to each D-Link
>The base and maxed out Finish commands for each D-Link
>How to obtain each D-Link, and who can use each of them
I think the gameplay on this game is far better than most of the games on this franchise. I loved the concept of changing the gameplay based on attacks and magic that you use
âSora will move one of the blades to his handâ
All I hear is So... was it like edited? or did he spell it faster to the point I canât hear it?
@@khfan1521 no idea lol
đ yeah I had so many comments on the original video pointing out that I called him Sora
Ayyy the wayfinder trio đ one of the best transformation shifts in the series
Imo I found it odd that Aqua has the Ghost drive ability. Ghosts are usually known for being playful & sneaky & pranksters, it feels like more suited for Ventus. not only it fits him but heâs fighting style is all about speed & teleporting, Would be cool if Ventus is able to access it like how we saw Aqua being able to access both Skyclimber and Bladecharge from both Ventus and Terra.
Overall Iâm fine with Aqua having Ghost drive, I just found it odd that the one in the trio that hates darkness the most and does ballet dancing while fighting is the one with this ability, but anyway itâs still cool, both Riku and Aqua look cool with Ghost drive.
Someone already pointed this out in the original video, but in Kingdom Hearts, darkness is created from anger, and you get Ghost Drive after the second Vanitas fight, which is one of the only fights in the series where both sides actively hate each other, making it, as the original comment put it, "one of the most hateful, spiteful fights in the entire series", and I'd say that that description is accurate. the darkness in Ghost Drive could be her anger for him surfacing
I found it weird as well, I could understand why Riku has it but not Aqua, I expected her to have command style related to water for obvious reasons, but BOOM Ghost drive lol, and I agree it really fits Ven more not gonna lie.
I think itâs the fact that Ventus is still less skilled than Terra or Aqua at this point. In Wingblade he just sort of uses the power of light to manifest swords where he needs them. Heâs mostly just relying on the strength of his heart and his instincts in the moment, like Sora. Aqua is the high level mage, sheâs actively willing her teleportation to each enemy.
Itâs also why Terra and Aqua get X-chi Level 2 versions of their starter Keyblades but Ven just gets a Keychain made of his returning memories, which I always thought was a cool detail.
Also, Ghost Drive later ties in to both Phantom Aqua and Anti-Aqua making a bunch of clones as some of their attacks.
@@aidanklobuchar1798
Ventus already has that with Time splicer and Dark splicer when he D-links with Vanitas, Also Vanitas is Ventusâs other half and he himself is like a ghost vanishing all the time and teleport.
I just noticed something, Terra, Ventus and Aqua are basically the RPGs class archetypes similar to that of Dragon Age, Dragonâs Dogma, Fable and Kingdoms of Amalur with the Warrior, Rogue and Mage. Terra is the Warrior due to his strong attacks, Ventus is the Rogue because his attacks are more quick and Aqua is the Mage seeing how she has magic based attacks,
This is cool to see because I recently was playing bbs! Thanks for the video Bio!
Great video, I especially like the thumbnails you've been doing for these breakdown compilations, not to mention the long format means it's nice to put on one of these for background noise while playing kingdom hearts
This really helps alot to have a reference of all the animations in one video specially because I dig around your different breakdowns
I love your projects!
Ok, I know this is an older video but your attention to detail is really helpful thank you for the amazing quality video.
Watching this kinda makes me want to play bbs again and focus on trying out some of these later ones I've either never or very rarely used lol. Thank you for the interesting long video!
Stay well out there everybody, and God be with you, friends! :)
What a stylish video đ
GOOD ONE
The thumbnail is really cool!
Great breakdown, I think the only critique of your videos is I feel like you should have gone in the order of the elemental ones that all three have, the shared ones, and then the unique ones, but you still did a fantastic job laying everything out. Iâve been doing some design work for an original fan character and how their powers work, and all of these videos are a very handy resource for me to go through everything without replaying the games.
I also feel like the developers missed a trick, by not having a shared advanced command style between Terra and Ven (so each of the trio has a style they share that symbolizes their unique bond to the other) and by not giving Aqua another unique advanced command style, because she only has two unique styles compared to the other two having three. Maybe she couldâve gotten a chain/bind themed style after Eraqusâ defeat. Also maybe if the styles had focused around transforming/altering the key blade in more ways, so we couldâve seen more of those tricks that lingering Will does in final mix⊠But that might be asking too much of a portable game. XD
Before I started playing this game I thought I would like venâs combat the most, but HOLY SHIT Terraâs combos are just SO satisfying! For me, Terra>Aqua> Ven (unfortunately, I really like ven but his combat is a little weird to me⊠I wish he would use the teeth of his keyblade like when he tried to attack Xehanort from behind on that last cutscene, that could add more variety to his combos since it feels really awkward to see him attack with just one part of the keyblade)
I mean, itâs not like itâs wrong to use the teeth, Zantetsuken, Hurricane Blast, Sliding Dash (kh2), Mickey in BBS (for some reason) and Ansem Riku in KH1 all use the teeth end to strike
Just played Re:Mind and had a blast using Aquaâs Spellweaver
That's actually cool. I never knew the last 3 even existed. Sky climber and the other 2. Thanks.
Wingblade is the absolutely best, it's so darn awesome and badass.
Aqua is so elegant/ strong/ beautiful I am simp âĄ
Bladecharge always reminds me of re:Coded's Zone of Ruin. Zone of Ruin was giant, but it also had an energy(?) blade surrounding the keyblade.
Final Verdict: Drive Forms, Command Styles, Link Styles (Riku fusing with Dream Eaters), or Formchanges?
Mmmm Formchanges for me I think!
Command styles is my take, bud.
These styles look so dope. I wonder why they never use these forms in later entries that feature aqua terra and ven.
Spellweaver is in 0.2
A little cool detail in Re:Mind is that Ven does the finisher of Sky Climber kind of! I have a video on it somewhere on the channel xD
OK but Wingblade is gotta be the best command style I'll ever seen.

Hey bio Roxas can you also a series of each bbs characters unique deck commands
I'd like to see a video like this but for the Riku transformations in dream drop distance
Have I told this before? If not, okay...
Ven's Wingblade Combo Fin is similar to XIII Blades from Sora/Riku's Eternal Session Limit
Terra's Crit Impact deals 2x the damage each hit (You see the HP bar, for each hit... The bar is decreased twice based on Terra's dmg output)
Terra's Rockbreaker easily fills when using Grounded Combo than Aerial Combo, there's also a Stun Chance but it's so less that it's barely noticeable.
Aqua and Riku both can use Ghostdrive as it is the element of Space (Dark and Light, similar to Time Element).
Ven's Cyclone is similar to the Combo Fin of Sora's Master Drive Form, without the Magnet effect.
Terra (and Boss TerraNort) can use Dark Impulse Combo and Finisher.
Ven's Wingblade Finisher is basically a copy of Trinity Limit since its effect is a universal Nuke bomb of Light. Kinda like UltimaWeapon ShotLock (Kh3).
Combo Fin for Terra's Bladecharge is basically a longer ranged version of his base Finish.
Woah they my fav but i like to use ven he the best or sora have final form for no reason but i still like it disney out 10
What about the Eraqus Armorâs Command Styles? I know he mostly just copies the basic style of the character you fight him as but he also goes in and out of his own unique Command Style âSquare Sigilâ
Now that you mentioned it, what if Ghost Drive (in later future installments) becomes a way for Anti-Aqua to be playable? Like, if Sora uses Rage Form during dire situations, Aqua should be able to use the darkness whenever she is in a pinch (although I'm fairly certain that Aqua's darkness have been purged from her after Sora defeated her), allowing her to use an even more powerful (and perhaps, more feral and dangerous) version of Ghost Drive.
When I played BBS I called Fever Pitch "The never ending beatdown" Because for whatever reason my Ventus had a really long ground combo(boosted further by FP) and each attack was multi hitting, but very weak, so I'd just be whacking the same opponent a crap ton of times over and over again slowly chipping at their health
Spell weaver kinda adds fuel to me wanting kh3 modders to add an entirely new magic style (the alternate casting obtained through formchanges. They even have official names) at some point, based on raid attacks.
Ooh that would be cool!
Also if anyone is curious, the magic style names are as follows:
>Hyper Hammer, Agile Claws, Blizzard Claws, Blizzard Blades, Storm Flag and Boom Hammer all use "Proximity Style" magic
>Double Arrowguns, Twin Yo-Yos and Hunny Blasters all use "Dual Style" magic
>Magic Launcher, Drill Punch, Hunny Launcher, Highwind and Clock Drill all use "Artillery Style" magic
>Everything else just uses, of course, "Basic Style" magic
@@BioRoxas Bringing the subject back around to be on-topic again, I have an odd little creative prompt for you if interested.
If BBS command styles also used KH3 magic styles, which ones do you think each command style would use?
Great video. You should do Sora Base form all Kingdom Hearts Series Breakdown collection video please
Yeah I plan to! :>
@@BioRoxas Oh nice thanks boss
So I canât figure out why my
Rhythm Mixer for terra is not working. Is there a specific pattern that i gotta do
at 4:15 Sora will move the blades to his hand
Still yet to have triggered frozen fortune but getting rhythm mixer on the ps4 version is very tedious with all those stickers unless you have the appropriate trophy for it
Are you spamming ice cream? I remember that one was hard to capture footage since it was a random chance
@@BioRoxas i never bothered to make it nor buy it since it wastes a command slot and i use all of the slots for command styles/damage
rw:Wasnt there a way to turn aqua into a tank toppler?
He calls ven sora during wing blade
Shhhh no I dont
4:15 Sora?
Wingblade looks a lot like the riku's blades in his limit
The limit youâre talking about is a limit shared by both Sora and Riku.
@@beyondthedoor5665 exactly
It's kinda odd. Bladecharge and Sky Climber is accessible to Aqua exclusively, whilst Terra and Ventus are on seperate equations. It would've been very cool if there was another Command Style that was only exclusive to Terra AND Ventus only, since Terra and Aqua had Bladecharge, and Aqua and Ventus had Sky Climber, would've probably spiced up the gameplayâŠ
Well aqua got special treatment because the developers saw aqua on the concept broads and said "one wrong move and everyone will hate her! We gotta get this right" but the exact opposite happened.
It worked a little two well
4:16 You said Sora.
your last timestamp in the description is 45:16 instead of 25:16
Oh jeez thanks for the heads up!!
4:16 Is he Sora? Sorta!
Aqua is very flexible
When did you make this bio

A while ago u_u
:O
Could you figure out which shotlock does the most damage?
Isn't Sky Climber exclusive to Ven???
No, Aqua has it as well
Nope! Aqua can use it too!
