This film was beautiful-from the storyline to the animation and the subtle soundtrack. Actually, the graphics were some of the best I have seen while binge watching these shorts. Hats off to the creators!

This is perfectly done the story is heartbreaking but it really gives the message that there are many things in life far more important than just being wealthy and that greed is dangerous to anyone who lets it consume them . I hope many more people would watch this it deserves more views

So there’s someone else who became the eel before him and maybe that eel was preventing him from touching that coral because that eel doesn’t want him to have the same fate as the eel.

Pulling on the rope, which was tied to his brother, to go down further, pulled his brother in. He wasn't strong enough to swim to the surface being tied down by that stone. You can interpret it about a story of greed, pay attention to the beginning.
That's exactly what I wanted to tell when I wrote the scenario ! :) like a neverending cycle of greed and bad choices. The old eel is trying to prevent other people from approaching it's treasure, but whoever kills the guardian becomes the guardian, rince and repeat

Je viens de découvrir les 17 petits films de ESMA en replay sur la chaîne SYFY. J'en suis époustouflée !!!!!! Ils sont tous execptionnels. Des émotions differentes à chaque visionnage. Les petits détails visibles une fraction de seconde ou en demi-pénombre sont tout simplement un ravissement ; on croît ne pas les voire et quand c'est vu, c'est une compréhension supplémentaire qui s'ajoute. Merci infiniment d'avoir partagé vos créations qui sont une merveille pour les yeux.

Obligé de le regardé 2x pour comprendre ce qui était arrivé au frère, et la réalisation est encore pire que ce que je craignait ! C'est le grand frère qui l'a entraîné dans l'eau, et ai la raison de sa noyade à 3:05 O_O
Il n'a même pas réalisé à ce moment que l'autre bout de la corde était accroché à son frère, et qu'en tirant comme il l'a fait... il emportait son frère...

Superbe animation, la transformation du grand frère est impressionnante et la fin géniale, c'est désormais lui le gardien du trésor. Au final : laissez la nature tranquille, arrêtez de la piller et de vous servir ! De plus la quête du toujours plus lui a fait perdre de vue l'essentiel...Bravo, c'est magnifique!

It's about greed and important things in life as love. Not coral preservation
I realized he killed his brother when he pulled hard on the rope. he tied it to his brother's waist and when he couldn't go any further he pulled with anger, pulling his little brother over board. and he didn't know how to swim or dive yet.
edit: He tightened the rope around his brother before diving. making it harder for lil brother to untie.
watch at 3:00 the lil brother starts to pull his brother up (signal of tight rope) Big brother yanks on rope and goes another 5 feet. (imagine the young brother being pulled in the water unknowing what to do and can't untie the tightened rope because he's in panic)
then after big brother turns into monster he tugs rope tight to signal lil brother to pull.
he sees loose rope and when he gets to him he grabs the rope around his waist. (knowing what he did)
now big brother is cursed by the sea to live forever

Idk but he kept telling his little brother, "soon" soon. but he never got the chance. really sad man.
Almost but not, the rope was bound to his waist, and at the same time it was bound to a rock. when he left the rock the weight was too much heavy. Probably his little brother know how to swim (cause living on an Island, and not know it is just ridiculous), but the rock acted as an anchor, incapacitating him to swin.

je trouve ça beaucoup trop engoissant les scenes sous l'eau ou le persnnage y reste des plombes sont avoir le besoin de réspirer. je crois que j'ai une mauvaise experience des jeux video, j'ai trop l'habitude des jauges d'apnée.

le monde de Prunelle nan mais j'avais vue qu'il ce transforme en poisson on tombant dans le coma aquatique mais bon avant ça, il passe un bon moment sans reprendre de l'air et je trouve ça très angoissant

Magnifique l’ambiance est extraordinaire, mais je ne comprends pas pourquoi on s’attache autant au petit frere au depart pour le laisser totalement de côté et mettre le grand en première position …🤔
Le fait de mettre autant en avant Elias au début marque un gros contraste avec la manière dont son frère le délaisse totalement. Ca fait un peu jouer la sentimentalité du viewer, on est quand même vachement triste de voir comment il brise sa promesse en ne lui apprenant pas à plonger, laisse tomber le coquillage, et puis la chute. Si on en avait rien à cirer du petit frère y aurait moins d'émotion. Je trouve pas qu'il soit en seconde position, je sais pas si c'est juste moi mais même durant les passages où on voyait Andréas j'avais son frangin en tête.
Je ne l'avais pas vu comme ça, comme Sdudy je pense que je suis trop habitué au schéma classique "présentation du héros" et du "personnage secondaire", donc je comprends son sentiment. Mais ton analyse me fait reconsidérer la chose, merci, et du coup encore plus gros bravo à l'équipe pour avoir su se libérer d'un schéma classique.
surment pour faire ressentir l'effet que son frère a de le voir mort à cause de sa quête de gains. N'empêche, il n'aurait pas pu remonter ? S'il est si lourd ce caillou, pourquoi c'était lui qui remontait son frère? Je comprends que détacher la corde menait la perte de son grand frangin, mais je suis sur qu'il aurait pu réussir à remonter avec de la volonté.
Sinon, c'est dur comme sensation, attendre pour protéger son frère ou détacher la corde pour ce sauver et perdre son frère et au final mourir noyé par manque d'oxygène tandis que le frère reste bloquer de toute façon. C'est injuste. En plus, le corail ne lui a même pas laisser le temps de le réanimer, les deux ce sont fait avoir.
+wapankiller12 Il y a un beau message la-dedans, si tu laisses tes ambitions prendre le dessus sur tout, tu finis par oublier le plus important. Le temps que tu t'en rende compte, il sera trop tard pour revenir en arrière, tu seras pris là-dedans sans trouver moyen de t'en détacher. Ne laisse jamais tes désirs prendre le dessus sur les besoins de ton entourage.
L'appât du gain est un piège atroce.
