Jeri Moomaw, executive director of Innovations Human Trafficking Collaborative, is using her experience as a human trafficking survivor to help others.
Such an important news piece, thank you so much for covering this! She is out there doing Gods work, may she be blessed many times over 🙏 ❤ and I hope people start paying a lot more attention, making that call to the police when they're suspicious of something instead of just turning a blind eye
What a fantastic interview, just letting her talk. She is a treasure trove of wisdom and insight, and an absolute inspiration! Everyone should see this and learn what to look out for all around us. Thank you for the important work you're doing!
Trafficking really started to take off when the courts ruled you could not have a curfew for those under 18. Prior to that any underage child could be arrested and his/her actual situation figured out. Now you have 14 yo walking the streets. This wont change until then laws are changed
Get to know someone who may look homeless with a REAL, actual, camera than just a cellphone user before jumping into assumptions right away. If the person is actually a "bad guy" people already have known the person who has been doing trafficking and other sex crimes. Those riding bicycles and transit buses often may be less likely to engage with human trafficking than a vehicle owner. That's because I ride buses and ferries across Puget Sound as my main mode of transportation! Street photographers, even photographing children in parks; does not talk to anyone. Unless the local circle invite the photographer into their circle, WA state is not a good state for a guy with a camera to mingle and start a smalltalk conversation!! When I work as a photographer, I tend to put my phone away from my distance. Cell phones are a distraction for men and everyone.

This documentary doesn't even Define what human trafficking is instead it starts up with some scary sounding music
