To Replay a Classic or Try Something New

- We've all been there. You recently picked up a new video game to try out. However, there's that one classic game that keeps calling your name. Which one do you grab? The oldie but goodie you know you'll love, or the new toy that you might love or might hate. Decisions, decisions.

Had this sitting in my Watch Later for ages, was nice to finally check it out.
The familiarity of games you've already played can be real nice, I tend to watch a lot of shows & youtube while playing games and those more familiar games are real nice for that. Play a lot of Runescape on & off which is real nice for that too.
RetroAchivements are also a nice way to get some additional content outta familar games & maybe pursue extra challenges in them.
Feels like I play a large variety of old, new & indie. Mainly stick to single player titles so there really isn't that pressure to play something right away.
Sorry if the comment is a bit too wordy. Really hope you manage to find a balance of old & new that works for you.

Thanks for watching. I never complain about wordy responses, I think they're great. Feels like we have a similar play process. I'm just now getting around to playing Borderlands 3. But I play solo offline, so there wasn't a rush.
Runescape is a throwback. it's cool to see it still going strong.
I think about this dilemma all the time and I'm surprised more people haven't talked about it. Great video!

Great point! How do determine which games your replay vs trying out new games?
@TheFoodFund sometimes it feels random or like a feeling. "I kinda want to play something on Gamecube." Othertimes I play stuff based off what video I'm working on. I'm playing DK64 right now but it's going to be a video or two coming up. But mostly it's just kinda what I'm feeling in the moment.

When in doubt, always Dragon Quest.
I do a yearly goal amount of games to beat, that I have never beaten before. Once I beat those, I go to my defaults to enjoy them again. It gives me joy and new experiences.
