Disgraceful that there's so many people in this comment section justifying the terrorist attacks by pointing fingers at perceived injustices and transgressions in the past by France or its allies. When these sort of people exist, sustained peace and stability will never be reached.

Has the right to make fun of your prophet, if your god is so weak that criticizing your religious figures makes you denigrate to violence, that displays to rational people that your faith is irrational. Guess what part of living in France, Western Europe, or even North America is the right to belittle religious ideas? If you don't like that, you're going to have to learn to because we're not turning our societies into fascistic states to help your faith cope with basic criticism.

And the other issue is that jews and Christians should be the most angry for those two prophets but they don't care and we can't force them to care. We don't tolerate that in our communities but we will go the extra mile to draw the red line on our religion messenger.

@zakariya jaama nobody has to be killed....the more people get educated the more they will understand that ghosts and gods do not exists and that there is no reason to kill each other over ancient stories that were invented by humans in times of very little knowledge about the universe. Mankind has started to travel into the universe and the facts of science are replacing the ancient believes of all the cultures. Humans will soon live on Mars and the foundation for a peaceful future of mankind is the disappearance of all religions due to proper education ;-)

President Macron expressed his countries values very clearly.
Freedom of thought and speech, rational enquiry, critical thinking, equality for women , freedom of religion and freedom from religion ,( no blasphemy laws) seems a reasonable civilised aim.
Anyone not wishing to engage with secular enlightenment values should perhaps avoid visiting or living in the country.
