  • Hi! My name is Arushi and I’m returning soon enough to the University of Cambridge studying Medicine from Fitzwilliam College to start Lent term of first year, which is a little surreal to say😂.
Very much behind on uploading, but in the context of thus video, due to living pretty closely to Cambridge, I decided to split my move to uni over 2 days and here is the first day!

The clips at the start of the video are from decorating for Durga Pujo in my town but for some reason the audio for that bit has disappeared😭 but it is what it is... Hope you enjoy the video!

Heyyy! Do you have tips on things to do during this period in year 12 for a medical application?

Hi @DEE ! I would say to use this time as much as possible for building a strong foundation of the Year 12 content for your A levels, since a lot of summer gets taken up by admissions exam prep. A strong foundation of knowledge makes Year 13 content easier to understand and cope with. Along with that, ideally start setting up work experience placements, or volunteering placements to get a clearer understanding of what the profession entails (something helpful to talk about in personal statements and interviews). Additionally, you can read more about working in medicine and about topics that interest you related to the human body! This is the best time to just expand your depth of knowledge and truly understand what really motivates you to go into medicine. It can also be helpful to perhaps work on a first draft of you personal statement but don’t worry about getting it finished now too much since you still have a lot of time till you really need to focus on getting it ready and polished. Hope this helped, Arushi :)
