when we went to Paris, we found a little place, that my wife had a glass of wine and some water cress salad, I had a whisky and bone marrow.... think about it every day... going to do this...
When we went to Paris it felt more like Somalia than France
@@cornpop7176 hahahahaha
I've been eating these since I was a little kid - probably 60 years ago. My dad loved them and we always had them - on toast or with a roast etc. Absolutely love them.
This guy is at the highest risk of creutzfeldt-jacob
Another good thing to do would be to put a layer of unpeeled fingerling potatoes between the bacon and the onions. The potatoes would then receive flavor from the bacon, onions , garlic and the bone marrow.
*Impressive, most men could not polish off that platter without, let's call it **_"digestive discomfort"_** .*
“Where’s the SWAT team?” You crack me up, what great food and a great sense of humour to boot! Thank you for such great content... 🥰
Place some on a warm corn tortilla and add some salsa...heaven!🤘
Butter of the gods, Guga knows :-)
Looks fantastic. Definitely going to have to give this a try. I usually serve the bone marrow on crostini with arugula tossed in lemon juice with capers.
At 6:50 it looks like Roel is puking and holding it in instead of enjoying it 🤣
That looks amazing thank you have a great day 👍🏻
finally you've done bone marrow, i've been waiting for you to cook some for awhile now
I have to try this! Thanks for bringing slightly diff takes on food!
For Morrison: bone marrow is the part of the bone that makes the blood cells.
It’s so fragile that it’s protected in your bones. It also makes the bones lighter so you can move.
And it's actually mostly fat, at least in the long bones.
@@lukasrotter3817 but the good fat, you can eat a kg of these without stopping your heart. Now should you do that? probably not, but it is possible
Use a piece of toasted bread to go with that, it is amazing. Also, we usually eat this in tortillas as tacos in Mexico. One of the best salsas you will ever have is a regular Molcajete roasted Tomato, Onion, Garlic and Serranos with the bone marrow in it, it is amazing to go with rib-eyes or amy other beef cut.
That looks unbelievable!!!
Love IT, always use it when grind my own minced meat. Take prepared marrow out the bone and let IT cool down. Grind chuckroast, grind marrow. Mix up and you can make pure beef minced meat with higher fat percentage then pork minced meat. Gives hell of a flavour
Amazing. That marrow makes a great spread on toast to pair with a nice steak. I’ve also added it to mash potatoes. I’ll try this way next.
THAT is freaking amazing!
omg - how delicious - I haven't seen bonemarrow for ages!
Totally insane! I think I am going to have try this!
I take the bone marrow and mix it with an herbed cream cheese with fresh minced garlic. I spread it on a bagel and have it with some over-easy fried eggs for dipping into the yolk. It is always so tasty!
I love the flannel jacket... and the bbq looks great, too! 👍👍
🤤🤤🤤 in Mexico they have restaurants or taco places that make amazing tacos with mero and you can order a split bone with the marrow cooked on it. This put the bones long ways so you get about a 6 inch long split bone with the marrow and it’s spiced and marinated and roasted. It’s pretty amazing whether you get it on a taco or just the marrow alone.
The other cool thing about bone marrow is that if you get it from a good healthy grass fed cow, it’s about the most nutritious food on the planet. Super food is just sort of a term people for around but if there was anything that deserved super food designation it would be grass fed beef bone marrow.
Looks good!!
I've never eaten this before. But I think that will change now 🤔 great food great video guy's 👍
I love this, it is a fantastic dish. We like to have it with pap or bread. What you can do (should do ;) ) is take out the raw marrow, butterfly a fillet (I like venison; Eland or Gemsbok) put it in the middle of the fillet with your herbs and spices and then Kamado it.
It looks really good
Oh my word. That looks awesome in the extreme....ohhh.
watching these videos is even better while munching on a pastrami sandwich picked up from the local deli in town earlier today i have to say. love using these mergpijpjes to make soup stock as well
Lemon balm is great stuff. I've got a bunch growing in my yard, and I use it a lot. Aside from its wonderful citrus flavor & smell, it's one of those herbs that has countless medicinal uses as well.
What a great feast! I love it.
Dangerously Great 😄
Looks fantastic. I have never tried bone marro. The way you prepared that with the Italian bacon and onions the herbs and garlic looks amazing. I would use the bacon and onions on a smash burger that would be amazing to do.
if you didnt know this already, if you have bone marrow from the supermarket, you should marinate it in heavily salted water in the fridge overnight to draw out the blood, if you dont, it may not taste good, actually it'll taste horrible, trust me on that part
You guys are so funny...I'm gonna look for that secrete ingredient, got my eyes open!
I only saw the thumbnail and knew it is going to be good
that saw EPICCCCCCC
Looks soooo yummy 😋
I think you might be the best dressed pitmaster on CZcams. I like that coat you are wearing. Where can I find?
Spread on bread and top with pickled veggies.
Where did you purchase that cast iron skillet? It looks like something I need for my smoker. That way I can make the same dish for my family.
I've been craving bone narrow for a while lmao
Buttery goodness
Smoked bone marrow pasta side dish with a good steak! One of my favorite meals!
In Italy we call it "ossobuco" but it has also the meet around the bone.. Check online the ricepts
Did you soak the bones in salt prior to or just cook right away?
Looks great, must have tasted crazy good! The funny thing is that the only component that could remotely possibly clog your arteries is not the bone marrow nor the panchetta, but the onions because of the carbohydrates in these.
.....
Guga would love this.
I subscribed because of this video. Fat doesn’t clog arteries sugar does!
i would really love to know where to buy that flannel?
Ziet er heerlijk uit mannen!
Vraagje, zou het een idee zijn om bij de vleesgerechten in jullie filmpjes ook een bijgerecht op de bbq te maken? Dat er een soort van complete maaltijd ontstaat zeg maar?
One of the gifts in life is food. This is real good food! One a side note, on the 26th of December 2021, this channel will have loaded it first video 10 years ago. :)
Wowwww
The British like bone marrow, as do the French, the Dutch, and Eastern Europeans, like Ukrainians. It is very good. I've had bone marrow before, and I like it. That looks really good. It needs crusty bread to go with it. Cheers, Roel! ✌️
In Mexico we love it as well it's called it 'tuétano' l mixed with cheese and make some kick ass quesadillas
How do u tell if the bone marrow is still fresh or has gone bad?
What goes well with this for a dinner party? Other than bread?
As my Aussie smoker mate from Schueys bbq says, so good it ought to be illegal, so friggen delicious
Lekker lekker
A BIG two-thumbs-up guys! I'm going to cook some of my beef bones!
Thought you were gonna make tonkotsu ramen broth on the Kamado looking at the thumbnail haha.
When I was a kid we used to fight over the bone marrow
@Morrison Hulshof yup, mom would cook the bones down for stock. We'd spread the marrow on toast and salt it for a snack. There never seemed to be enough. I was mad jealous watching this video
O.M.F.G!
Looks incredible, and for those doing Keto, it's the ultimate "fat-bomb"!
Oh my brother God is much more than that great cook
Believe it or not the pancheta and bone Morrow makes great tacos so delicious look it up
Missing so much by stopping where you did. You can use those ingredients after that work to elevate so many great dishes. The garlic is ideal for a cream sauce as well as the bone broth now. Take it to another level.
its the best tasting thing imo.
yup that there be very tasty mate🇦🇺
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t use bone marrow on steak no matter the cut. I will never go back to butter
Steak and bone Morrow tacos the best!
last 5 minutes are a gold! And not, forget potatoes, bread and other shit, go carnivore! Love you all.
Lemon balm is the the correct herb, you can also get Lemon thyme. Bone marrow in a lean burger mix takes the patty to the next level.
What if you had a wagyu steak between the onions and bone marrow preseason with salt and pepper. Keep up the good work brother
Steak and marrow. Mmmm
Hi Roel could you make Boerewors? Dankie
that little bit of green was like a bowtie to finish
Lekkerrrrrrrr🤤
Fresh home baked bread on the same bbq
Just FYI, some of us have a problem with the use of the word god with a big g. I believe there is only one use of the word God, and it ain't about food. Thanks for your videos, I really enjoy them.
Don Bailey 100% agree, the word GOD should not be used lightly, nothing compares to GOD as he created all things..
Beef butter! Amazing
The lemon stuff looks like lemon thyme
Came here for pie...but this is good too
Gimme some toast with that. Can eat it all day.
Add rice to it nice
Had a heart attack just looking!!
I usually turn my leg bones into bone soup. Excellent that way.
I just spent 16 aus dollars on bone marrow to extract about 3 heaped tablespoons of baked marrow. Not cheap in Australia
Morrison will an El Kabong reference
Dude, I'll drink that
Dogs: only give raw bones. Cooked bones splinter.
i like my marrow cleaned in salt water over night first, gives it a better taste. otherwise, great as always.
Ratio of salt to water? Thxs
@@sanjayvaidya4925 just make it to taste. i never measure, but the water has to taste slightly salty. the marrow gets perfectly white when doing this.
I agree really improves flavor by leaching all of the red blood out with salt water solution
Sonde! Ryk maar lekkerrr...
My arme hart
Don't have sleepless nights worrying about the fat.
Listen to the cardiologist in the video from "The Galen Foundation" with the title "The Fat Lies".
What about a bonemarrow stout steak pie?
You should make a sandwich with the marrow as the "mayo"! Maybe with some wagyu perhaps!
Add bone marrow to your beef stew to take you to heaven
This needs to be between two pieces of fresh bread 😋😋😋😋
Toasted, open-face with some fresh radish on the side. Maybe a little bit of pickel. Oh, and a beer. :D
@@gyrene_asea4133 I stand corrected, you are absolutely right, it definitely sounds better
@@notold37 Yours was good.
just here to make sure you paid the dog tax
Das ist ja wohl das allergeilste was man grillen kann!!!!! Will ich!
So in my family we would be butchering cows and lambs as well as our wild thing. We always took the phones cut them up like you all did. We boil them until we had a broth to save up for when we're doing our cooking or when sick. We would also take the bone marrow out and can that. We'd use it as a bone marrow spread like butter when we're eating our bread. Is very high and nutrients of all kinds. The native peoples would take the bones and put them in the fire to cook them that way. Crack the bones open after about 20 minutes in the fire and eat the bone marrow that way.
Extremely tasty, but a huge calorie bomb
Do you guys ever SHARE!!! Lol 😆👍🏾🙏🏾
