Roger Corman has worked in and outside of Hollywood since the 1950s, creating a path for independent filmmakers to follow since the beginning. A director, writer, producer, and distributor known for low budgets, tight shooting schedules, and for launching the careers of actors, directors, and producers that went on to radically redefine Hollywood starting in the late 1960s, Corman worked with Vincent Price, Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, Peter Bogdanovich, Joe Dante, Gale Anne Hurd, Ron Howard, James Cameron, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, and many more.

Every time I watch a Roger Corman interview I learn of at least two films I've seen way back which I'd no idea he produced/directed . . . over 400 films he's made, that's unparalleled.
