My baby just got diagnosed yesterday. She’s taken her second dose of meds now. I’m really hoping to see improvement today. Her main symptoms were accidents like crazy. She’s also lethargic. Poor baby.

My dog has recurrent UTI I'm talking once a month. I work at a vet clinic and the one doctor I work with cannot figure out why she keeps getting them. I put her on the RC Urinary SO food. I give her the Cranadin supplement made by Nutromax. I wipe her down there with a baby wipe twice a day. and I also had her urine sent out for culture. And no growth. I'm stumped.

My dog peed blood yesterday it was really thick congealed blood he done that twice...his pee is thinner now but there is still blood in the pee. I took him to the vets and they gave him a course of antibiotics,ive got to keep an eye on him for 2 days then take him back down there if it hasn't cleared up. I hope it's nothing serious. He's a weimaraner 10 nearly 11 year's old but in good shape. He still eating as normal and his normal self.

Can you give a dog yogurt to kill off the bacteria for uti?
Most things that are good for humans are going to be good for dogs so yes. I hadn't thought of yogurt though so thank you lol. I googled it and it can help.

I read 90% of uti is from e.coli and prefer not using antibiotics. Purchased supplement (trusted brand) NOW d-Mannose powder. For 15 lb female dog: Gave one quarter teaspoon dissolved in one quarter cup water on a saucer with a little minced cooked chicken four times a day for three days and all appears well! I will continue to give a little cooked chicken with water on saucer 4x a day (no powder) just to encourage dog drinks water! Chicken is actually cheaper by the pound than kibble anyway and dogs love meat. A cup of water is recommended per each ten pounds of dog weight so make sure you know how much your dog drinks daily. Dry kibble only diet is not a good thing so I only give her that once in evening. Read too much cranberry can be a problem and I do not trust pop up sellers on Amazon . Please do your research. DogAdvisor dot com gives free info on all dog food brands so please do not trust the picture or comments on the bag. Cheap dog food may contain feathers, bones, beaks, and corn sprayed with animal digest just so your dog will eat it...how awful!
Thank you so much for the information Tracy. My female great dane just got her first urinary infection and I've been freaking out since the vet near us isn't accepting any new clients at this time. I needed a quick fix to at least get her some relief in the meantime as soon as I am able to get her in to another vet. I was curious about d-monnose and I'm glad that you mentioned it works! I will try this asap.

Thats an infection, please take your dog to the vet, tbey will give them antibiotics
None of sampsons vets ever checked his pee..and now he is gone and I'm facing charges of medical neglect by humane society here in Calgary alberta.he showed zero symptoms just suddenly got sick his kidneys failed

I miss my buddy so much but be aware a top vet in bc told me dogs cats and humans and other mammals are suddenly getting kidney liver deseases strange bacteria fungus ect be vigilant.i loved him so much he was the best gone forever..its taken my normally healthy body down to illness,the unfounded accusations don't help that's for sure.keep an ought for ALABAMA ROT it takes them fast.only reason vets don't have info on this horrible desease is because there were no studies done really..if you let them in the mud and suddenly see a red blotch of so on joints it's most likely that even necropsies can't find it.
@King James ....Like criminal charges? Because your dog got sick and died? I mean, I know Canadians have lost their minds a bit here in the last few years, but they're charging pet owners with criminal charges over a dog passing away?
The problem is vets won't culture a free catch so they willy nilly toss the dog on antibiotics not knowing if it will even work. That's not good. A bladder tap is all good, but most of the time the dogs uti is lower and not even in the bladder.
Why is everything so complicated a needle into the bladder. The dog then has to go under anaesthetic and another 1000
That’s how they used to get the urine from our dogs all the time he stuck a needle in his bladder and it never cost that much and the dogs were awake, and now they stopped doing it maybe they had problems and now they’re required to do it under Anastasia I don’t know what the answer is.

My dog got so.sick everyone. Be aware of your potty trained pup starting to be in the house and cant hold their pee!! He vomitted and had diarrhea. Get antibiotics asap! My pup couldn't walk, was peeing on himself. He is better now after antibiotics.
hi i hope your pup is fine after all these years, please tell me from your experience my pup has also been diagnosed with urinary tract infection and he has become really lethargic almost sleeps all day and doesnt eat anything and some times i think he is in pain while walking. His treatment is going on from last 2 days and is showing some sign of recovery . how long did your dog fully recovered from this?
