Fantastic 3Way Intermodal Super Freight- Great View, Great Position of the Camera, Great Trains- Thanks for the Up-load [NZ Railways Freights & Services- NZ Government Owned- Goods Shed Checker Supervisor- Shunter/switcher- Government Certified Fork Hoist Operations] (1975-77) ..
Had trouble getting myself oriented. Finally dawned on me that the road at the top of the screen at 1:40 was old route 66. Heading into the curve at the left of the screen takes you past piccolo park. Follow the road North will get you to the Cleghorn 15 freeway on ramps. Nice shot. Certainly a different angle of view from what you normally see.
Just to think of all of the steel rails, ties, spikes, and cars MAN put there, and anywhere a track happens to go is amazing. Appreciate it now, and tell others how great it is.
I, guess that The Cajon Pass is not a very rare place for a 3 way meet.....This, must happen everyday and a great place for rail fanning......This, was a real treat and a perfect day to be there......Only, in Southern California!
@ Andy Jackson Simple. It's a 3-way meet because three diffrent trains meet at a certain point. "3-way" doesn't necesarily mean that it's about three diffrent directions of travelling although they may have three diffrent destinations. I know it's a kindda blah-blah reply but I consider it the best way to answer blah-blah kind of questions.
@trainspotter11 Meant with all due respect and jealous admiration - he's a flippin' billy goat! The dewd combines repelling, rock climbing and rail fanning into one new exciting outdoor extreme sport - RAIL ROCKING! Trust me, he's gutsy and he climbs!
It is impressively long convoys formation. I wonder what are the places where these trains stop for loading and unloading of what they carry. I still maintain that U.S. trains are beautiful from every point of look. Greetings from Argentina, for some excellent video.
nice vid.nice must see, and i didint get sick.we dont have this type or size in new zealand, our tracks are not as wide also.there was more stock being moved in 4mins as new zealand would move in 1 month.keep it up, cheers
It is fascinating to me to wonder about the commercial value of the cargo being carried on those three trains. I would be willing to bet that several tens of millions of dollars of merchandise was lined up in three parallel trains there for a few minutes.
Interesting video, but a meet involves multiple trains on the same track in opposite directions. One takes a siding and waits for the opposing traffic hence a meet. In some cases, trains will be moving on the same track with one having priority over the other. In this case, the lower class train would take a siding and wait for the following train to go by, hence a pass.
^^^@Ctresbeau Claude .. You were Right I went back and listened to my speaker a slight bit of wind, camera guy should be using a wind cover for when out in the hills, still a Great Up-load Fo Sho' ..
So was the stationary freight going up or down? I read some comment that the railroaders don't like to stop a freight going up grade as it is wasteful of energy to get started, i.e. the train has momentum going up grade and you want to maintain movement.

Very impressive view of America's Railroads at work.

I love watching trains.
Loved this video very much. Great job on it. I would love to see a 3 way meet if I were to take a trip out there sometime.
seeing those stack trains pass each other reminds me of the game frogger
Fantastic bit of video. Really enjoyed. Never see anything like that in UK

Now that was so awesome and such a nice scenery!!
Nice one Robert! That looks like a sweet view from up there. Me and David saw a 3 way meet and Devore about a month ago.
Traffic picked up so they had to add the third main. Great video!
that's the best threeway I've been dreaming of...

right time at the right place.....beautiful - rare & lucky catch......

Vgood nice film
¡Que cruce!, en el lugar indicado, en el momento oportuno.
That's hot train on train on train action.
WOW container land nice catch

Then there is the absence of all those TRUCK/TRAILERS on the open road, creating more traffic and smog. Trains save the day.
Of course they're not all loaded. Who knows how many are empties to be returned to China to return to Walmart?
its even better, when ur all partied up with grass and malts and ur their on location and this happens ...whoa...
ça c'est des trains ! magique & magnifique
merci
Oui oui Monsieur ..
very nice view at the trains
Fantaaaaaaaaaaastic!
Awesome video !!!!!!

Wow what a Sean yaar ,beautiful.
That was cool man.
Is that Hwy 138 going towards Summit Valley to the right of the track's?
Great viewing location. Enjoyed the video.
Thank's for sharing.
Amazing......
Just the special agents got me thinking.
The view is a perfect spot for camera. (wind noise! Hmmm!)
What wind noise? didn't hear nothing un-less my Bluetooth B-box didn't pick it up Ha!!! :P] .v (Nmcfmamf) ..
^^^@Ctresbeau Claude .. You were Right I went back and listened to my speaker a slight bit of wind, camera guy should be using a wind cover for when out in the hills, still a Great Up-load Fo Sho' ..
Quite a sight.
i like the view
Nice catch...
Johnny thanks for shareing.
Awesome
how are you so high up and awsome video
Ahhhh nice.
It must be some kind of rush to pass another train that close for the first time!
Cool !
Correction: at Devore not "and Devore"
They look like model trains!!
^^^@hi .. I can assure you, them Trains are as real as you and I Ha!!! :P] .v (Nmcfmamf) ..
the third track is loop or a pass lane so other trains can pass it

a busy railtracks ;)
so why does one train have to stop?
ทางขึ้นมีอยู่แล้ว
How long are the sidings? I would guess that they would have to be long enough to accommodate the longest trains. What say you?
👏👏👏👏👏 super!!
2 trains on single meeting & passing each other at a SIDING!
Eva Orchard - you obviously have never worked for any RR. So all you have to say is typical foamer choo choo gibberish. LOL
Andy Jackson nice attitude. not!
What's wrong with calling them what they are instead of making things up!
What road is that to the right of the tracks and where do you get on it
What is in the freight cars visible from 3:22 to 3:50, and which had what looked like three levels/rows of small windows?
Those would be auto racks.
Why not just open a Wal*Mart store right there....that
is where all those containers are probably going:)
is this to mail tracks and a siding?
You along Applewhite Rd where your taking this video?
แหล่งน้ำก็มี
oh my god. very very long train
ตั้งฐานการผลิต
Awesome. how tons is estimated for the three trains?
คอนกรีตทั้งป่า
wow 10/10 how you get so high
crew change on the left train?
ทางผ่านนักลงทุน
whats ur zoom on that thing
is that only for freight
How can you call 3 trains passing each other on triple track a 3 way "meet" ?
+Andy Jackson Cuz they are meeting each other?
It's obvious you boys have only played w/ choos choos & never worked for any real RR!
That's true, what do you define as a meet then?
Love trains, but no more drone videos! Much less details
NEED MORE HORSE 🐎 POWER,,, EITHER PAY FOR A LITTLE EXTRA DIESEL ,, OR WEAR 5 UNITS OUT PREMATURALY
