It’s always tough to send your animals away. Chickens, nah, I chopped them when I was 7 yrs old. Chased them to out them in hot waters. Hated the smell of the feathers though! Such was the life….🥲🥴
Im just looking at the trees in the video, and im amazed at how green everything still looks. Especially since its almost October. Course i know the weather up there can change in a matter of hours too. Good video Mr. Tom, enjoyed it. Oh btw, i like the term "freezer camp" lol
purebreds. I get them from a local dairy that made its name by selling breeding stock. Ive started crossing the jerseys with Angus now and so far, I am happy with them. Thank You for watching
@@LedgemereHeritageFarm I’ll have to look them up! I’m in Arundel (between Biddeford and Lyman). What age do you butcher your Jersey steers? This is my first year growing one out for meat (my Jersey girl had a bull calf In June).
@@samanthalabreck5837 look up Kens Custom on River Road. I send them at 18-mos so I don’t have to feed them two winters. They dress about 400# hanging weight. My Jersey cow had twins this year!
