  • Black Voices 2023 Tour to HBCUs and communities is fully loaded. We’re not interested in a Black Voices kingdom - we’re interested in Jesus! The need in our generation is far too great for anything less than the Gospel being communicated through our lives. The question is not if we have a voice, the question is what will we use it for?

I don’t have anything against anyone worshipping God but why the separation like it even means anything? What’s the matter of black Asian white European Hispanic or anything? Worshiping God has nothing to do with your color.
It just seems like reacting to the world instead of just being the example of Christ. Jesus broke down the barriers between Jew and Gentile.
Dividing the church by color based movements seems off.
I’m just seeing this but it’s very off putting as a first impression.
One of my few friends is a black drummer at my church full of diverse people from all over the world but we don’t have a black voices or white voices or Hispanic voices. There are translators and deaf ministries.
Why not live by example and just be the beautiful bride of Christ. If I’m missing something please tell me.

Hey, thanks for your concern and openness to hearing our response. This is certainly an argument we've encountered before, and one we've deeply considered. Our response is that Black Voices is not a church, or even a ministry; It’s primarily a message, calling black and brown people to live out the Gospel to the fullest. Everyone who is a part of Black Voices is regularly fellowshipping, and working closely in ministry with people of every color. That being said, just like any group (men, women, youth, latinos, asian, etc...) they have unique experiences and perspectives.
We limit attendance to the Black Voices events held a few times a year, to black and brown people (and their family members) because the message is tailored specifically for them, and because we strive to create a safe environment for them to hear and receive this message.
Black Voices is not about creating barriers between people, we simply recognize that there are times in history when certain groups need to be championed and encouraged in a special way. We believe this is our assignment for this season. I hope that helps! God Bless,
      - The Circuit Riders

@@CircuitRiders thanks for taking the time for a thoughtful response. First i would like to say I’m not calling into question anyone’s faith as we all have our own point in our walk individually and are all at different places.
I think it’s great to champion people especially when the black community is specifically targeted by abortion tactics in the USA. I don’t agree with segregation at all like you are describing however. I’ve seen the hurt and divide it causes. I’ve seen the healing when a prominent black preacher comes to an event and brings his congregation and joins with white people, i would have never thought to hear a black person say at a church he’s actually pretty good for a white guy, i hadn’t had the thought they would think less, i don’t care who is speaking the message as long as it’s from God.
There is one king and one people. As a missionary i understand reaching out to one group as called to. But never would i stop someone from hearing the message because they were a different color. This is disgusting. And striving to make a safe environment is for literally anyone but automatically saying that by not allowing other races there makes it safer it blatantly assuming all races are racist towards black peoples or brown peoples.
“We limit attendance to the black voices events….to black and brown people… because the message is tailored specifically for them, and because we strive to create a safe environment for them.”
It looks like it’s all about creating a divide and glorifying a race of people not God’s people.
There is always some kind of understanding based message just as Paul wanting to talk to the Jews which were separate from the gentiles but if a Gentile was there why stop them from hearing. Do you think Jesus turned away gentiles who wanted to hear the message of Grace he was speaking, no.
I have no hate for your group or the spread of the gospel i just really think this is a despicable way the enemy has infiltrated the church. I understand you can’t make everyone happy and there will always be someone like me but I’m not your enemy.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide your steps and that God will bless you with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Also i pray that in this the fruits of the Holy Spirit will be blatantly present.
