the main reason for this video was so i could prepare to install my blind spot detector system for my w204
hence why
in this video i show how to remove the rear bumper off a Mercedes benz w204
this applies to all models from 2007 to 2014
both preface and facelift will use this method to remove the rear bumper bar
this is a task that requires alot of patience
having a friend or an accomplice would really help when it comes to actually removing the rear bumper, as it would help to not scratch it, if your too rough and just pull it off and end up scratching it against the floor
hence why i stress to use a piece of cardboard or any type of protection from the floor, so the bumper can be placed on it when it comes to removing it
especially if you are doing it by yourself like i have in this video
the use of some sort of protecting factor against the floor would really save you from scratching it

thanks mate ... 👍 me too.. but as stated i did this so I could finally install the retrofit blind spot detectors..microwave sensors that install behind the rear bumper bar ..so not intrusive like the parking sensors which are installed into the bumper..needing drilling and destroying the bumper ..if not careful.. ..gonna be a great video..

Hi Mike, this video has been a great help to me in knowing how to remove the rear bumper... I'll tell you a little about what I want to do, I want to buy a rear bumper, the AMG version is for a ( w204 coupe facelit ) and my car is a sedan no facelit..
I am interested in installing the LED taillights of the facelit coupe and the amg rear bumper.. Could it be that the taillights are the same in the connections? as well as the bumper… Do you have any information about this?
now im not too sure of u can put a coupe on a sedan .. u have to find oit if its the same shape and size .. usually u get a sesan one for a sedan amg and iy fits no issues...alot of ppl habs done this where they take the facelift rear bumper with the rear diffuser as it looks abit nicer with the extra curve lift of the diffuser whereas preface is just straight

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ hello buddy I can't wait to share with you about 204 with a trunk switch. Hope to help all 204 owners. On the main driver seat door panel trunk switch high configuration. Some of the original 204s come with a factory configuration and some don't. If you want to install a switch, you only need to buy a complete door panel wiring to do it yourself or buy the original wiring harness, and remove the door panel when installing it. You can go to Mikey previous video with a disassembly tutorial, replace the wiring harness without the trunk switch with a wiring harness with the trunk switch, insert it into the door panel control computer and you can use it directly. You don't have to replace anything else just the wiring and a trunk switch. Hope to help all 204 owners
