Well describe❤❤❤
I have had similar PTZ cameras, never from TP-Link, and they always lack security in their functions: When the camera is in PATROL mode, patrolling the areas, and detects a human intruder, it continues the patrol to the next area, losing sight of the intruder instead of stopping the patrol function and following the intruder.
Does the same thing happen with this VIGI C540-W camera?
Good question. Yes when it patrol mode motion detection does not happen. It only happens at each stopped point in a patrol path, but not while in the patrol motion. I hoep this helps.
Does this offer any optical zooming as its wireless camera
There is no zoom on this model I am afraid. There is a model with zoom coming shortly I believe.
Data support on the Ethernet port as well? Or just WiFi and PoE?
This device does not support PoE (well the wireless model doesn't) but you can still get data on the ethernet cable and you can still power via 12v if you want.
I don't think it support SIM.
BTW, does it support POE?
The one in the video is not the 4G model, but there is one, I think the C540-4G can supports a Sim card. The C540-W is a wireless camera and so does not support PoE, it instead comes with a mains power adapter.
Does it have a battery backup?
Good question. Currently the TP-Link VIGI range don't have any cameras with batteries I am afraid.
How is its WiFi range?
I have personally not had a chance yet to try that, but I would put it at about 30 - 40m if you have a clear line of sight and a decent wireless access point on the outside of your property, Obviously shorter distance if the access point is inside and the wireless has to travel through walls etc.
For a range of 30 meters?
This should be able to be around 30m away from your wireless router / access point and still be able to connect.
