- As BBC Three is about to be relaunched soon, CBBC is going to be reverting back to closing down at 7pm like before. Here is the final time CBBC closed down at 9pm, on 04/01/2022
Bad news: just as we just got BBC Three back on TV, they're going to make CBBC & BBC Four online only in 2025, because people prefer Netflix & Disney+. Digital TV is dying, & online only is too expensive, plus the government made cuts to TV licensing. 😢
It's only going to inevitably happen to BBC 1, 2 Three (again) & CBeebies if this keeps up.
Recently, Pop Max went online only on Freeview too.
Rather see CBBC as a block on One again.

Heard nothing about BBC3 going online again.
I know we recently lost Citv, not CBBC, but still, they're still both in danger of becoming online only.
Pop Max came back around Autumn last year.

I’m surprised that the BBC changed CBBC’s schedule back to 7am-7pm considering that it’s been shut off at 9pm for about 6 years now

Does anybody know that cbbc starts going off at 6:58pm instead of 9:00pm now?
that maybe true..sometimes they going off at 6.58 pm or 6.59 pm which is 2 minutes before 7 pm..that also happens for bbc 4 ig😮

It may be at first glance, but if this change is needed in order to bring back BBC Three, then I think it's worth it. Just my personal opinion though.

A doubt..Why the operating time for cbbc is until 9 pm..Isnt it 7 pm..Cuz CBBC timeshare with bbc 3 and it starts on 7 pm right?
So the 2016 BBC Three moving to the web has the regrets.
So CBBC from the next broadcasting day will return to the 12 hours 0700-1900 the BBC Three will return using the 1900-0400ish timeslot the CBBC will reappear right?

yes true...but sometimes bbc 3 will off on 3 am / 3.30 am/ 4am..bcz i used to watch bbc iplayer..when i see the tv guide..its like that..sometimes they never follow real timing for closedown..👍

As of early 2023, the news was delivered that CITV will move to online only from this Summer and the channel will stop in Autumn time
seems like they updated that holding card overnight, now it looks like BBC Scotlands
That what we expected for all BBC channels, more generic on-air presentation, despite some channels will have some unique looks.

Most likely yes, because of the new BBC logo introduced back in October. It's only going to be a matter of time before everything BBC related gets rebranded with the new BBC logo.
BBC main television channels, BBC Three, Iplayer, Sounds, BBC Sounds, and BBC Red Button received their first new look last year.
This year, the rebranding will affect all BBC Radio stations (domestic and World Service, despite Radio 1 launched the new logo last year), BBC Sport, BBC News department (News Channel, World News and its related channels), international services, and BBC Children's channels. It comes ahead of the BBC's centenary anniversary.
I don't think they will. I think they'll get lazy and just plaster the 2021 BBC logo over the current idents.

ouh okk..i get it why..thanks for the info.
and one more thing...since bbc 3 moved online on 2016..they did extend the operating time for cbbc especially for viewers so they can have more time to watch cbbc on tv..and yeah since bbc 3 is back..cbbc will use the old timings
