They are hermits in the wild, they might even fight their relatives, but sometimes they find another cat that they really like and want to spend time with them. I believe that it was the custom in Egypt, when a household cat died, the family would go into mourning for a whole year. I can understand that!! I had a lady tabby for 23 years, and still miss her greatly, even though she's been dead now for 20 years.

Please refrain from calling me blind, I actually am in the process of losing all my sight in my left eye. I know it would be hard for you to realize this since you don't know me, but you could have been more polite and just told me that they eventually opened their eyes. I didn't watch the whole video because my daughter woke up from her nap and wanted to watch cartoons, so I had to stop before they opened their eyes :)
Their eyes aren't fully closed at least. It looks like they're beginning to open, which is why SOME of the cats have mostly closed eyes while others have fully open eyes. You could be forgiven for making the mistake, it's an easy one to make.
