Getting better by the day. Thank you for your contributions. Special compliment on your video/photographic skills. Few amateurs could turn those most challenging lighting conditions into an advantage and use light like a brush - objects in the shade with highlights on lines, shapes, and Rembrand-like portrait lighting at such a professional level. @@FlyMeToThePhilippines It all depends on the Filipina. We have been married just over 40 years with a son 40 (who is married) and a daughter 37 (also married). We have 4 grand children. My wife has worked since her graduation in the Philippines, Nigeria, Scotland and England. We lived in the Philippines for 12 years after retiring but decided to return home to the UK to spend more time with our grandchildren. My advice is never discourage your Filipina partner to persue either her education or her working career. Just remember you as a partner may not always be around due to age difference, but life for her goes on. Enjoy life in Mindanao folks.

I did about the same as him, but in 2005 and experienced about the same as he did when I brought my Filipina back with me.
      That was a huge mistake.
Of course you can find a great Filipina that will not change, but the temptations and the risk of being corrupted by others are so huge for many of them that they will change.
And suddenly you have a very different woman than the one you married.
I plan to move to the Philippines and if I find a Filipina I want to shar my life with, will I not move back here with her.
I will take her with me on vacations, but not for living here.
I am just not taking that risk again.

The age gap stuff is like a hothouse flower: it usually has to keep living in the hothouse to survive (SE Asia is the hothouse). Bringing the lady West, she'll realize quick that 20-30 year age gaps are not common, and that her dating market value is now much higher.

I did about the same as he did when I lived in the Philippines for about 8 months in 2005 and married a Filipina and experienced about the same after I brought her back with me.
My now ex wife transformed into a very different woman than the one I married after a few years in my country.
Of course that doesn't happen with all Filipinas, but men need to understand that there is a clear risk involved in it.
I will move to the Philippines again 3 years from now to retire there and if I meet the right Filipina, there is NO WAY that I will risk brining back the Filipina to my own country to live here with her.
I will take her with me on vacations to my country and other countries in the world, but I will NOT live in any other country than the Philippines with her.
I am not risking ruining something great by doing that again.

Really a great interview. I have the unfortunate problem of wanting to retire in the Philippines and my Filipina wife does not want to go back. Interestingly, we have had a wonderful 21 years being happily married with two beautiful children in their late teens and we only have eight years gap between us. I do not want to break our marriage up just for the sake of getting my way regarding moving overseas. I understand her reasons for not wanting to move there permanently, because of her very extended family and our prior experience with many of them. Also, we would be leaving the kids at a time where they may be starting families of their own and we would be away from potential grandchildren and other life events. Difficult decisions to make and I think we’ll probably have to compromise and maybe stay there part of the year (not my preference!). I’m just curious if you have any other subscribers or friends that are in the same boat?

Many Canadians choose to live half a year here in the Philippines and return to keep their health insurance stable and many Expats have a challenge of moving away from their adult children and missing their grandchildren. It’s a common issue among Expats however, airfare is not that difficult and you can go back-and-forth and catch all the major events.

Flowed will and how everything was answered, and everything was just awesome. That's always good when you have an interview with somebody. There'd be an honest and true. What's not being said is hedonic adaptation in your relationship will cap out at about 2 years and you'll go back to feeling the way you did before unless you decide to make long term financial commitments. Then your happiness baseline goes way down.
You're also going to be challenged with expat adaptation. Soon enough the shine of being in a foreign country will wear off and you'll be stuck going to a coffee shop in Dumegetti

The good course in Cdo Pueblo de Oro is going to cost about US$50 per day with a caddy. I play in Del Monte an hour away in the mountains. It cost 800 pesos for 18 holes and 500 pesos for a caddy around US$25 there is a course in town on the army base which has nine holes you can play for Approximately 18 or $19

I met my beautiful filipina in January, it goes really well, we have voice and video chatted, and we already plan to get married, so I've been working my butt off trying to get a better job to 1. Go there 2. Spend time with her and know her 3. Propose to her officially 😂😂 and then go through the process of the visa which they've told me i have to earn around 21k a year, hence the me trying to get a new job since the one i have is a part time, so wish me luck on this journey guys 😁
