  • So if you're like me and started getting into watches just a couple years ago, and have a stainless steel Rolex, what's the perfect second watch? I consider a few factors and ultimately land on a 44mm Audemars Piguet.
    The examples I give are from Watchbox. I've worked with them personally.

    I did added a second stainless steel watch. A Polar Explorer II. 216570. Only $8.800 on the second market

      And I went back on what I said also. I added a stainless steel oyster perpetual 41 😃

    Love your channel.
    My first leap was a 116613LB. #2 was a fluke 6 months later, 114060. Got the call, almost said no. But I couldn't at $8900.
    I prefer the battle proven 3135/3130s, and the maxi case. Another reason I had to act. In hindsight and seeing the new Subs, I'm glad I fit it in the budget.
    They both are versstile tbh. Bluesy Spring/Summer out in the sun, Sub for Fall/Winter. Sub for stealth, Bluesy for a bit of flash, formal, weekends.
    I am now retired from watch collecting, but the only watch that would bring me back to the game is the VC Overseas Blue dial. My siren.

    Bang for buck GS is right up there the heritage line is very flexible. For the prices you are looking at go Rolex for the price retention.

    Another good video Lewis. Been loving your channel and like the direction you are taking it. I currently have a oyster steel 41mm DateJust w/blue dial, a GMT Batman, and steel and gold Daytona w/black dial. I have been looking at a rose gold JLC Reverso as my next watch. It's more of a dress watch than my Rolexes and have the added feature of the dual face when you want to change the look. If you haven't checked them out, take a look before you buy the AP.

Sorry I keep commenting haha didn’t want to have to continue to edit my first comment. Really looking forward to learning more about your career and your path to becoming a millionaire!

    I like the idea of getting something that gives you something different than what the Rolex gives you. I also value a transparent case back ... a real shame Rolex doesn’t do this. I really like chronographs too. Also you can get a different dial color. Rolex most of the time is a black dial. A sunburst dial or white dial is really nice too.

    The issue I have is I managed to get an Explorer from an AD, so it’s hard to beat getting another SS Rolex from the AD. I’d love more variety, but I cant turn down the financial smarts of getting a watch at retail that trades above. I’ll see if I can get the new rumoured 41 Kermit, but will settle for a 41 no date sub :-)

    • @LewisMa
      @LewisMa  Před 4 lety +1

      I wouldn't mind either one. I had the chance to buy a SS sub a while ago from an AD but couldn't justify keeping it🤷🏻‍♂️

    Lewis, My choice for you would be a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Auto (BLUE DIAL). The versatility would be great with the choice of 3 straps. You have the see through case back, and a watch from the Holy Trinity. You can actually buy it new or pre owned for a great price. Tell me what you think. To Hell with Georgia!
