Hello, Iâm Joe - Iâm a guitar player, singer-songwriter, producer, recording engineer and teacher!
On this channel youâll find my original songs, covers and solo fingerstyle guitar arrangements. My favorite music doesnât fit neatly in a box so you may hear me play folk, blues, jazz, & classic rock - you can call it what you want; I feel honored to speak this timeless language of melody, harmony & rhythm.
I was born on May 25th 1991 in Kempsey, NSW, Australia. Since 2010 I have been based in the US and currently live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana with my wife, Genevieve (who teaches illustration on CZcams!).
I play Maton acoustic guitars, made in Australia (just like me) and am very proud to have my own signature instrument, the JR Signature!
In addition to song performances, you will also find guitar lessons, chord breakdowns, TAB, tutorials, gear reviews and other guitarist related content to help you stay inspired on the instrument.

Great tribute to in my opinion a great guy. Thank you so much Joe for all your encouragement and lessons. You always find a way to be there to answer questions and reply and/or like comments all the while being so incredibly busy with a future bride to think about. You are a great role model for todayâs youth. Iâm so looking forward to seeing your show in December in Victoria, BC. Itâs easy to find time to practice guitar when your teacher is so inspirational. Hello, Joe. Do you know what notes you are playing when you play them? I think I need to put stickers on my guitar because I have always played without knowing what I'm doing. I just hear what I'm playing and am able to detect whether things sound wrong or right.
I think it's a good thing to learn all the notes own the fretboard - I couldn't play if I didn't know them! I have a TrueFire course '10 Scales And Modes You Must Know' that teaches this. Good luck!
